PMCJ Presents another quality Edinburgh bill.

The Darkstar trio bring the Warp Records experience to our intimate setting. Darkstar have created a style that is both unique and melodic, but doesn’t stray far from their roots, which originated in the London dub and grime scene.

Having started out as production duo, James Young and Aiden Whalley, the addition of songwriter and vocalist Jaymes Buttery brought a more melodic and thought-provoking approach to Darkstar’s music.Their sound is densely atmospheric – combining minimal electro and psychedelic post-punk beats.

For their DJ set they run the gamut across tripped-out house grooves, trilled-out hip-hop and beat-pushing new funk. Fans of Caribou, Fly Lo, Four Tet and A$AP Mob will love it all.
