10,000 Russos, Is Bliss, Thee Rag N Bone Man

May 25th, 2017

R&R Concerts Proudly Presents…

One of the biggest surprises of the new psych scene were a band from the outskirts of Europe, compromising elements of savage repetition rituals who can take Neu! and Suicide in equal measurements and are known for non stop shows who can lead people to a spiritual trance.

They are 10 000 Russos and they hail from Porto, Portugal. The idea is not being a rock band, the idea is to kill that idea and do songs that take elements of rock n roll, give them a total desconstruction and create something really new. Something that goes fighting any idea of what a band should be: the drones of the bass embrace you, the guitar makes sonic landscapes and refuses the riff, the drummer goes motorik and he is also the singer. There is no bullshit talk between songs. [Read more →]

A mirage of shimmering guitars, stadium-sized castanets and herculean drumming, Mystic Braves’ desert psychedelia is descending on Sneaky Pete’s.

After soaking in the acclaim of third LP Days Of Yesteryear – a collection strewn with twanging spread chords so grand you expect a cowboy to appear – their live shows are coolly delivered, knee-pulsing jams.

Reversing back in time to the trippy haze of the 70s, in May, Mystic Braves will take you there.

Belako are a group from the town of Munguía in Spain, where punk and post-punk’s relevance has never faded. The two girls and two guys are barely over 21 but have made waves at home already, playing major festivals like Primavera and Low. They have an EP on seminal UK label Cooking Vinyl coming, so we can expect to hear a lot more of them from here on.
