“In this post-truth world where alternative facts get squeezed out via the distorted prism of social media, the simplicity of a band like JOHN makes for a refreshing tonic.” – Loud and Quiet Magazine.
AF Gang assemble for this one! John toured with IDLES this year, and are certainly one of the few 2-pieces that could match their fierce energy. JOHN is comprised of two blokes named John. From this simple premise comes a band who create a sound as punchy, pared down and to-the-point as their name suggests. Their live shows are utterly ferocious, leaning on tight, repetitive motifs and politically-driven lyrics that have been making crowds go wild.
Their live shows are utterly ferocious, leaning on tight, repetitive motifs and politically-driven lyrics that have been making crowds go mad. No wonder they’ve been sharing stages with the likes of IDLES, Metz and USA Nails.
