Adult DVD + School of Paris

February 16th, 2022

Leeds six-piece Adult DVD are full of charming synth-pop goodness, infectiously danceable synths and compelling stage energy…for fans of LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax and Metronomy.

Initially born out of a desire to escape lockdown monotony, the band only have a handful of live shows under their belt, including a recent slot at cult favourite London venue Old Blue Last. Having recently played at This Must Be The Place festival in Leeds (w/ Gruff Rhys, Bill Ryder Jones, Yard Act, Wet Leg), the band are now offering the opportunity to witness their energetic live performance right here at Sneaky Pete’s.

Moxie All Night Long

February 12th, 2022

Some of Sneaky Pete’s best ever times have been with Moxie at the helm. She’s of the finest radio and club DJs around and one of the best people out there. Her sets rip the roof right off. A longtime frequent flyer here, her On Loop nights have consistently sold out.

Breaking through with a Radio 1 show, she became of NTS’ longest-standing residents. A familiar face the hottest spots like Berghain’s Panorama Bar and Fabric, often alongside cool pals like Saoirse, Peach and Shanti Celeste. Moxie’s appearances here at the club go down as some of our best ever. It’s a pleasure to be welcoming her back, all night long!

Dictator
sold out

February 12th, 2022

Dictator – a 4 piece hailing from West Lothian, Scotland – are an atmospheric Electronic Indie Pop band here to make you feel the depths of the human soul. Taking inspiration from classic artists such as Primal Scream, Gorillaz and Massive Attack to modern acts like London Grammar , The XX and Alt J.

Launching at the tail end of 2019, the band still managed to perform at sold out gigs across the UK, including their own headline here at Sneaks before the inevitable You-Know-What! However not to be deterred the band have since released a string of singles to critical acclaim, being awarded the ‘Single of the Year’ award in 2020 by publication The Weekender Mag with ‘Days Gone By’, are currently Nominated for a SAMA (Scottish Alternative Music Award) in the Best Rock Category and have Sold Out their first Glasgow Headline Show this coming December. They have also gained consistent support from BBC Introducing, Radio X, Amazing Radio and XS Manchester to name a few, as well as key tastemaker’s like XS Noize, The Skinny, Snack Magazine and This Feeling.

It’s probably a cliché to say it but the band really are just getting started, 2022 is set to be a massive year with lots more to come from Dictator.

Nova Twins + Alyx Holcombe (DJ set)
at The Mash House *Sold Out*

February 12th, 2022

Rescheduled date – original tickets still valid

Nova Twins are a genre-bending duo consisting of lead vocalist/guitarist Amy Love & bassist Georgia South. Innovative in every element of what they do as artists, whether that’s performing to moshing crowds & packed out tents, art directing their own music videos or designing & making their outfits for all photoshoots & stage-wear. Described as “devilishly-heavy & vivid punk-rock” by NME, “grunge-pop” by the Independent & “amalgamation of raw punk energy, illegal rave electronics & unapologetic grimey attitude” by PRS

Their debut album Who Are The Girls? produced by Jim Abbiss (Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) was released to critical acclaim from publications such as Clash, Kerrang, Dork, NME & Alternative Press. Lead singles ‘Devil’s Face’, ‘Vortex’, ‘Taxi’ & ‘Play Fair’ have received spins on BBC Radio 1 from Annie Mac, Daniel P Carter & Jack Saunders, as well as BBC Radio 6 from Iggy Pop & Tom Robinson

On tour they’ve supported Wolf Alice, Prophets of Rage, Skunk Anansie. Previous festivals bookings have included Boomtown, Download & Hellfest. 2021 will (covid depending) see slots at Reading & Leeds amongst many others.

In 2019 Nova Twins were the face of Dr. Martens Alternative A/W campaign & played alongside Fever 333 during their BBC Radio 1 Maida Vale session. In 2020, they won Best UK Breakthrough Band at the Heavy Music Awards. Later that year, they collaborated with Bring Me The Horizon on track ‘1X1’, taken from the No. 1 album – Post Human : Survival Horror. Nova Twins started 2021 with a remix of Gang of Four ‘Where the Nightingale Sings’ alongside Massive Attack‘s 3D/Robert Del Naja.

Columbia *new date*

February 11th, 2022

Columbia, formed in late 2017, are a new Rock ‘n’ Roll, guts ‘n’ glory powerhouse coming out of the North West. Created by a working-class group of friends with no musical experience, Columbia are obsessed with being a proper old school Rock ‘n’ Roll band, the likes of which haven’t been seen for many years.

Columbia found their influences with great bands such as The Verve, Oasis, Rolling Stones, Stone Roses & The Beatles, as well as the underground dance music & techno scene having a huge influence on them. Columbia are ready to bring the best of British Rock back with a fresh new sound – come along for the ride ?
