Dusky

February 10th, 2022

On a high with their best material to date and a huge following, DUSKY’s string of recent singles and outstanding 2021 album JOY have taken this duo to a higher plane. Well earned for an act with pedigree and serious DJ chops. This is the best possible time to see these legends in the most intimate setting.

Initially gaining recognition during the UK’s 2011 house renaissance, Dusky have since established a diverse, inimitable sound that draws on everything from hardcore and Detroit techno to ambient, progressive house, jazz, and other more experimental musical forms.

With a string of releases on Gerd Janson’s Running Back label and their own 17 Steps imprint (earning support across BBC Radio 1, RA and Mixmag), Dusky’s reputation as one of the benchmark acts on the UK underground scene is set to continue.

The East Pointers *Cancelled*

February 9th, 2022

Leading-edge Canadian pop/folk trio The East Pointers have always been furiously energetic, musically complex and technically brilliant, and now a family grounding as the seventh generations of traditional Prince Edward Island and Ontario-based Celtic players and writers has effortlessly parlayed into the folk/pop arena.

Fiddle tunes are grounded in irresistible EDM-style bass lines, a dirty Americana exploration that turns on a dime into a light-hearted guitar feature, playful keyboard tones that turn traditional solos into urgent dance-party journeys, and perfect pop songs weighted by undeniable musical chops. Award winning, virtuoso Uilleann Piper Calum Stewart’s powerful and lyrical playing style, is rooted in the traditional music of his native Northern Scotland. His distinct musical voice has been developed through collaborations within the Scottish and Irish traditions, and won him the MG ALBA Scottish Traditional Instrumentalist of the Year 2018

Independent Venue Week 2022
Lewis Ross + Quiet Houses + Cyrano New date!

February 5th, 2022

Taking inspiration from the likes of Bon Iver, Pinegrove and Gregory Alan Isokov, emerging Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Ross produces sweet, melodic ballads that are deeply sentimental and atmospheric.

Releasing his first EP (Colder Days) when he was just 19, Ross’ early career saw him collaborate with esteemed indie singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich on his single ‘Signs of Life’ subsequently launching him into the spotlight with over 1 million streams of his EP.

Short Sighted, his latest release, promises even more of what we already love about Lewis Ross.
