Spangled

February 26th, 2022

Tipped as Big in 2021 by ThisFeeling and with an incredible debut festival slot at the Isle of Wight in their back pocket, the boys are on the cusp of stirring up a storm. Spangled shot onto the scene in Manchester 2019. Spangled’s love for music is infectious, their ‘rock n roll’ attitude blends with heartfelt, witty lyrics and punch-the-air-riffs, proving there’s still decadence in youth. “Manchester boys bring energy and euphoria by the lorry load and the good news is there’s more to come” – GigSlutz “Bright and edgy at the same time” – XS Manchester “Bringing back all the feels of Johnny Marr at his most euphoric Smiths era” – Rebirth of Cool Blogger

“Groove, guitars and swagger galore, these young mancs are on to something” – ThisFeeling

Soul Jam: Tuesday Gonzalez & Percy Main

February 26th, 2022

A Soul Jam residents party is afoot. You are invited, so are your pals, do come along if you are free. Tickets are on RA.

Oddly, after many a year of it being the norm, a night with just the two of us is actually quite the rarity these days, been too many pals weve been excited to have down. I’m excited about it, so is the other one, b2b all night as only would only be good and proper. Maybe we’ll wear matching frocks or something, I’ll need to run that past him first I suppose though.

For best results, bring comfortable shoes and be prepared to do a lot of shimmying… oh and try make sure you’ve not got any infectious diseases etc. (both infectious laughs and personalities will be permitted).

Club Sylkie: SHERELLE

February 24th, 2022

Edinburgh’s clubnight for queer women, gender minorities, and their pals is back! Club Sylkie returns with their first booking of 2022; NTS resident and Hooversound boss, SHERELLE.

SHERELLE has gone from strength to strength over the last past few years, cutting her teeth as a pioneering selector pushing harder dance styles and new perspectives to the forefront of UK dance music. Meticulously weaving between jungle, drum n bass, and hard drum sounds, SHERELLE crafts an energetic and immersive atmosphere in her sets. Having featured on boiler room, on the cover of Mixmag and DJ Mag, and an BBC Radio 1 SHERELLE’s notoriety is well deserved, and we’re delighted to welcome her to the intimate setting of Sneaky Pete’s this February.

Support comes from local heavyweight Feena, who’s been quietly pushing the boundaries of bass music in Scotland over the last year. The Miss World resident has recently released a dubstep-influenced track on Scuffed Records and has been keeping the music community in Edinburgh aflame through her work with local station EHFM where she presents her monthly show, HIGHLY IMPORTANT. Feena has also recently covered the Lobster Theremin show on Rinse FM and continues to gain a reputation for her precise mixing and dynamic selections.

With two of the UK’s most exciting acts within bass set to play, we’re sure this night is going to be electrifying and can’t wait to welcome SHERELLE and Feena to the booth. Tickets are limited and we expect them to move quickly, so grab yours now!

Heaters // Habibi Funk + Hiba

February 23rd, 2022

Following a lauded appearance at London’s Jazz Cafe together, local star Hiba joins the phenomenal Habibi Funk for a night of eclectic, stereotype-busting party music! As seen on an iconic Boiler Room Beirut set in 2017, Habibi Funk’s DJ sets jump between rare 45’s from the Arab diaspora, electronic records from across the decades and heavy flavours of hip-hop and disco. One for the Heaters history books, tickets probably won’t hang around for long…
