Dootchi
Dread Persephone
Kingsmen

February 28th, 2023

“Dootchi are an Alt-Rock band hailing from a small town in the Scottish central belt. They’ve been rupturing eardrums around Glasgow and Edinburgh for the past 6 years.

With heavy riffs, melodic solos and more fuzz than a grizzly bear, they’re here to rock some old tunes and maybe even some new ones.

Joining us are Prog/Grunge band Dread Perspehone who’ve been scunnered since 2022 and recently been recording some new music.

Join us for a night of wild abandon and have your soul briefly expunged from your body.”

Shampain [All Night Long]

February 27th, 2023

Ireland’s finest export, Shampain, joins us for a very special All night long set. Seldom do you see such a name go open till close, let alone at Edinburgh’s best, Sneaky Petes.

Shampain has quickly established himself as one of the most interesting and exciting artists in electronic music with a concoction of techno, grime and hefty dancefloor energy, with the odd twist flung in for good measure.

Soul Jam:
Hand-made

February 25th, 2023

We’ve been waiting to get Hand-Made down to our wee get-the-gither for a dance and a sweat behind the booth for ages, but been tricky finding one we can all attend. Very much enjoy everything about their night, have you been? You should – nice people, great music, class fun.

How fortuitously fitting then, that a party with the hearts and minds behind Hand-Made with Love, should end up landing in this month, and be announced on this day of all days.

Aye, February 14th is Maceo Parker’s birthday, so as you’re celebrating the big day with your favourite of his albums, consider February 25th and the ticket you’ll need to avoid standing outside Sneaks waiting to get in to see us all.

Usual policy, bring your nice friends, leave the shite ones at home and come and have fun.

Lionoil:
Lewis Lowe & Percy Main

February 24th, 2023

Redstone Press is one of the most exciting labels to emerge from the very vibrant Scottish dance music scene, catching the attention of folk as diverse as Ben UFO, Om Unit, Sicaria and past guest Eris Drew. Existing somewhere in the techno-bass-electro multiverse, you’ll have heard plenty of their records get bumped at our parties and radio shows, as they are all excellent.

Our first party of 2023 (9 years eh!) features CEO Lewis Lowe, and a 4 hour musical meeting with our own Percy Main. A monumental summit of two behind-the-scenes titans of Scottish dance music, if you will.

I’ll stop mixing metaphors, you should come on down and bring your nicest pals – this is guaranteed to be good one!

Living Body
Hospital Corner
Galapagos
for fans of… Alvvays, Courtney Barnett, Waxahatchee, Hurray For The Riff Raff

February 24th, 2023

Living Body is the project from Leeds-based Chicagoan Jeff T. Smith (f.k.a. juffage) featuring longtime collaborators Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, Sleater-Kinney, Courtney Barnett, Wild Beasts), Tom Evans (Vessels) Alice Rowan (Mayshe-Mayshe), Sarah Statham (Crake, Fig by Four) and Jack Burgess-Hunt.

Following their evolution into a live band in summer 2016, the group has toured extensively throughout the UK, EU and North America, including performances at SXSW, Canadian Music Week, Tramlines, S?n, ArcTanGent, Long Division, and Deer Shed Festivals, with sessions for BreakThru Radio and Daytrotter. Their debut LP Body Is Working was received favourably by BrooklynVegan, Stereogum, Exclaim!, Drowned In Sound, the Skinny, God Is In The TV, and Louder Than War, with airplay on BBC 6 Music, Radio 3, Amazing Radio and others. They have subsequently released the single C.R.E.A.M. as part of Long Division Festival’s 12? compilation New Addition, Vol. 1. In 2019 they toured the UK with an expanded lineup featuring two drummers, performing several new songs. In 2020, they released the single I Do as part of the Kingfisher Bluez Record Store Day 2020 compilation, Short Songs, Vol. 2, and Don’t Kill Yourself (It’s Christmas), a benefit fundraiser for Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service.

Expanding on the need for music to bring joy into the lives of others, and Smith’s fascination with the contortion of the pop song into a uniquely imaginative and immediate form, Living Body aims to exist in a world of skin, confusion and information overload.

Living Body are THE most exciting thing happening in the UK music scene. – the Skinny

Delicate and dramatic indie … they can do high-energy rippers too.” – Stereogum

…tsunamis of glee – The Line of Best Fit

Body is Working is a fascinating curio of an album, and quite beautiful in its complexities. – God Is In the TV Zine

Club Sylkie:
aya, Raphaela, Katelate

February 23rd, 2023

Club Sylkie’s first party of 2023 is set to be a whirlwind journey through fast club sounds, wobbling bass, and glitched out edits.

YCO founder, NTS resident, and Hyperdub associate aya makes her hotly anticipated Edinburgh debut at Sneaky Pete’s. Bringing a heavy club focus to a multitude of genres, aya’s DJ sets mix harsh textures and tones with bright melodies and energetic mashups. From grime through to acidic hard house, hard drum to baseline, aya is unafraid to twist the parameters of dancefloor weaponry into new dimensions.

We’re delighted to welcome EHFM’s Raphaela to Club Sylkie for her debut along with FEMMERGY mainstay Katelate.
