Club Signal:
Aidan Gibson All Night Long

May 18th, 2023

Club Signal returns to Sneaky Pete’s Club for our third dance of 2023 and our 10th outing at the venue.

Having been a regular operator of the capital’s infamous sweatbox for over four years, resident Aidan Gibson is set to throw down all night long for the first time.

Rumor has it that the vinyl fanatic and monthly contributor on South London’s esteemed Balamii is pretty keen on dance music genres such as deep house, minimal techno, UKG, electro, dub, breakbeat, and Detroit techno. In true Club Signal fashion, these shall feature in the form of £100 records, suspect rips found in the shady depths of the internet, and yes, Bandcamp downloads.

It’ll be the last residents’ affair for a wee while, as we are set to host a string of quality DJs that will take us through to the end of the year (stay tuned for more on this).
Dress for silliness, and we’ll see you in the smoke.

As always cheapo entry for the Signal posse.

Heaters // Hypnotikk:
Ahadadream All Night Long

May 17th, 2023

*NEW DATE*

After last year’s sellout party Ahadadream returns to Heaters // Hypnotikk playing open to close. He absolutely tore it up last time and we’ve been itching to have him back ever since.

Part of the new vanguard of UK party starters, Ahadadream mixes UK funky, grime and bass with the sounds of his south Asian heritage and the pan-global underground. His own productions are unapologetic stripped back club weapons that regularly get spun by Four Tet, Ben UFO, Scratch DVA, Toddla T and more.

As well as running the hugely popular More Time records, he also curated some of Boiler Room’s landmark moments in the platform’s recent years (including the Bass & Percs series), and just closed out a year-long residency on the BBC.

Trust us, this will be massive

John Edge

May 16th, 2023

John Edge does not shy away from life’s biggest topics, and provides songs about love, truth, death, and the miraculous fragility of life. The Scottish singer-songwriter sits within the folk genre, with previous releases having lent comparisons to the likes of Ben Howard, Foy Vance, and Glen Hansard. He has been praised by the likes of CLASH, Billboard, music is my radar, with airtime on stations such as BBC Rapal, and Amazing Radio with Jim Gelgatty. Edge’s live performances carry an abundance of raw vulnerability, melodious songs, huge dynamics, and is all fused together and driven by his enchanting lyrics and totality on stage.

Edge has an inherent spirituality to his work, and his sophomore album, due for release this year, is an exploration of the longing to find meaning in the confusion of life. With songs both dreamy and epic, meditative and yet emotional, Edge delivers a marked return with newfound depth and maturity to his writing; following on from his debut album release ‘Only Fear Dies’ (2020). His new work is the result of a young man’s life being thrown into disarray, and out of that a deeper appreciation of life’s mysteries arose.

Edge mixes mystic themes with good old fashioned heartbreak, reminding us that there is mystery in the ordinary.

CLASH – “Edge is a supple, entrancing songwriter. An artist of real power… Easy on the ear yet intensely emotional”.
