A mighty fine crew who know this club more than any other, Sneaks All Stars AKA Sneaky Pete’s staff go back behind the decks all night long this Monday.

Philadelphia singer-songwriter Francie Medosch’s band combines the weepy twang of old-school country with the cozy intimacy of DIY rock.

Like tourmate MJ Lenderman and his other band Wednesday, Florry are a part of a crop of rising DIY rock acts whose influences are more in the vein of Kris Kristofferson or Drive-By Truckers than anything 4AD or Sub Pop released in the ’90s.

Brighton’s Memorial return this May bringing their signature warm and tender indie-folk made for remembering long sunny days and cosy evenings with friends. Since their last show here they’ve found praise from BBC Radio 1, The Independent, Sunday Times and more.

Friends first and songwriting partners second, they’re marked by that peculiar alchemy when two voices become one, a special sense of human connection wrought through harmony and emboldened with experience.

We met Ross aka Bowlcut cause he’s been a regular on the other side of the decks at Soul Jam for a few years now, and as is bordering on age old tradition, our dancefloor has turned up yet another belter selector. Recently he’s been tickling the Alps with some tunes, but been doing parties down Lost in Leith and for Big Green amongst plenty other fun stuff in Edinburgh and Aberdeen for a minute now. Class disco and boogie head. Mon along, bring yer pals, it’ll be dead fun as always.
