Song, by Toad presents: ENFANT BASTARD + AMBULANCES + ART FAG

August 30th, 2009

Esteemed Edinburgh music blog Song, by Toad is also an excellent record label – home to Sneaky’s favourites Meursault. Head honcho Matthew Young has put together a very classy bill for us. Here’s the lowdown in his own concise words:

“Sneaky’s asked me to put together a lineup for their fesitval schedule and here it is.

Apart from Edinburgh bands Enfant Bastard and Art Fag, I’ve been really looking forward to seeing Ambulances, whose debut album really is bloody good.”

ATTIC LIGHTS + DEAD CONFEDERATE + SKETCHES + THE DEBUTS

August 29th, 2009

With the pop sensibilities of Teenage Fanclub and the sunshine harmonies of The Beach Boys, Glasgow 5-piece, ATTIC LIGHTS are one of the highlights of this years EDGE FESTIVAL.

ATTIC LIGHTS play Sneaky Petes on August 29th. Support comes from SKETCHES.

Attic Lights have recorded their debut album ‘Friday Night Lights’ with producer Francis MacDonald (Teenage Fanclub, Camera Obscura and Shoeshine Records). It will be released Autumn 2008. Formed in Glasgow’s West-End, Attic Lights’ sound was moulded in a secluded attic until Kev, Colin, Jamie, Tim and Noel were happy with the music they’d created. “Scottish rock’s evergreen love affair with The Beach Boys, The Byrds and Big Star begins a fertile new chapter with Attic Lights… a hugely infectious debut” UNCUT ****
