O. Children are Goth reborn. Staring down glasseyed from his six foot seven height, Tobi O’Kandi sings in an otherworldly baritone. Though key Goth influences like Sisters of Mercy and The Mission colour the sound, there is reinvention here too. Much as last year’s Horrors record was so much more than the sum of its influences, so O. Children’s eponymous debut has a lot of surprises up its sleeve. Though unexpected flourishes in instrumentation add to the finished sound, it’s the extraordinary quality of songwriting that shines here. It’s not just for the kids lurking in the corner either, their anthemic sound should appeal to fans of White Lies and Editors too.

Blue Gillespie are onto a winner with their debut album; KKKK – Kerrang!

Blue Gillespie are a progressive rock ensemble aimed at music fans of all ages who like their music loud, tighter than a drum skin, and unapologetically real. Formed in November 2007 they have already released two EPs, Cave County 1 and the more acoustic Cave County 2, and one album, Synesthesia, as well as building up a wealth of experience playing live.

Their sound is built on epic riffs, brutal intricate beats and aggressive bluesy vocals. Blue Gillespie received a hugely positive response for Cave Country and say; “the support focused and disciplined us and with our debut album Synaesthesia we were able to express what we wanted to say, in the way we wanted to say it. That others are affected by our music makes the whole process even more fulfilling.”
Though they have crafted a sound that is distinctly their own, Blue Gillespie have been influenced by many artists including Meshuggah, Tool, Portishead and Down, and inspired by music from just about every genre.

Blue Gillespie have received a lot of press interest due to Gareth David-Lloyd’s, the band’s vocalist, acting career, but are slowly carving out a name for themselves separate from this. Gareth David-Lloyd is well known as Ianto Jones in BBC TV show Torchwood.

THE BOY WILL DROWN Four-piece band based in Norwich/Colchester in the UK who formed in late 2006. Signed to Earache Records, currently regarded as one of the most flamboyant and intense bands in the UK, they play a vicious blend of technical and experimental music based around grindcore and death metal. Refusing to play “sugar-coated” metal like so many other bands, The Boy Will Drown do everything in their power to mesmerise and pulverise the listener, whilst simultaneously injecting an element of humour, fun and youth into the otherwise serious face of the extreme metal genre. Drawing influence from such bands as Decapitated, Necrophagist and Psyopus, The Boy Will Drown create music that’s technically breathtaking, with punishing metal riffage, yet still retains that “groove” factor.

THE BRIDAL PROCESSION from Paris, France deliver a devastating and merciless sound, with a realistic yet incredibly negative message about our corrupted present and compromised future. Formed in January of 2007, the band has been working hard on touring the continent a lot in just under one year of existence. In two years the band played and toured with such acts as As I Lay Dying, Neaera, Caliban, Cephalic Carnage and Born From Pain just to name a few.

GHOSTS OF ELYSIUM Since their inception during 2008, Scottish five piece ‘Ghosts of Elysium’ have set their sights on winning over fans with their dynamic live shows, with a sound that encompasses unrelenting heavy passages, emotive melodies and post-rock ambience, bringing to mind US heavyweights Misery Signals and Underoath.

Having already shared the stage with Bury Tomorrow, Flood of Red, Azriel, Shadows Chasing Ghosts and Young Guns this young band aim to bring an exciting live performance to every show.

HEIGHTS Heights are a five-piece hardcore band hailing from Welwyn Garden City in the United Kingdom.

Born in 2009, Heights have played show after show up and down the country, touring whenever and where ever they can. It is the live environment where Heights thrive, throwing everything they have at every show, leaving nothing behind regardless of the situation.

The band recently completed work on their debut EP ‘The Land, The Ocean, The Distance’, combining the distinctive sounds of Hertfordshire hardcore with epic progressions to create an ambitious record that pays no heed to the usual restrictions of the hardcore scene.

Having just played shows at Download Festival, Hevy Festival, Sonisphere, this band are ready to take the next step.

The Anti-Injustice Movement, aka The AIM, presents Capital-‘X’ and Jehuniko’s international ‘I Want Justice’ tour in the UK with guest emcee Brent Lee Regan from the UK and the legendary DJ Flako from Guatemala. This is the rawest, most brutally honest revolutionary Hip-Hop to explode onto the UK underground. If you want candy rap, or weak and wavering conscious Hip-Hop then this is not for you because this collective of international underground raptivists are nothing short of revolutionaries. If you’re down with intelligent lyricism, raw truth, hard-hitting beats and a revolutionary Latin infusion then this is a show you can’t afford to miss. We are here to deprogramme the minds of those who have been lulled into sedation by the soothing lies that surround us by throwing words instead of Molotov cocktails. The time has come to wake up and smell the thermite.

Capital-‘X’: A very strong opponent of capitol punishment Capital-“X” now spends most of his time traveling across the US as well as over seas speaking and performing to educate and enlighten the masses on what he considers to be the truth about a corrupt and unjust legal system that he compares to the slave trade of the past. Intertwining facts gathered by years of extensive study in criminology, penology, law, personal experience and the experiences of fellow captives with hip hop music “X” intoxicates audiences with what he calls ‘Raptivism’. Calling himself the Voice of the Voiceless a title borrowed from “perhaps the best known Death-Row prisoner in the world”, political rights activist/award winning journalist Mumia Abu Jamal, Capital-“X” claims to be the spokesman for over 2.5 million captives held in US prisons. He has performed with Ill Bill, Sabac Red, and anyone who’s anyone in the Hip-Hop underground.

Jehuniko is an original, bluesy hip hop artist with lyrics in English and Spanish. He shares words involving his personal experiences and struggles in life. Jehuniko has also performed alongside Kemo the Blaxican and opened up for Mack 10, HR of Bad Brains, Lupe Fiasco, De La Sol, KRS One, Raekwon, the Coup and many others.

Brent Lee Regan is an alternative hip hop artist from the UK whose lyrical delivery and content is as varied as his musical style. Honest and inquisitive; cynical yet hopeful, Brent Lee Regan’s lyrics often unapologetically address the power struggles and paradigm shifts in the shady world of politics, religion and the human condition.

DJ Flako is one of the illest DJs to come out of the Latin American Hip-Hop scene. He is coming to the UK all the way from Guatemala.
