Feena

June 13th, 2025

three revered selectors join resident Feena in our second exploration of deep, weighty sounds with vibrations which seem to emit from the earth itself ? sounds which resonate inside your core ? hands up, eyes closed moments on the dance floor encouraged.

Dj wiggles –
the Kinetic founder and Kiosk Radio resident’s style is informed by afterhours and twilight dancefloor divinity. Leftfield and experimental sounds are turned rave-ready, her amorphous set flow guiding the wide range of music and tempos on offer via a metre of energy and surprise. Sometimes swampy and dark, other times driving and propulsive, Dj wiggles places emphasis on narrative to guide the dancefloor into other realms.

Dub Athlete –
imperceptibly layering organic percussion, earthy dub techno and weighty psy tinged dubstep, The Mine resident draws inspiration from across the genre spectrum while maintaining a steady focus on sound system music throughout. You only need listen to her Ilian Tape Podcast or 20 minute minimix for Martha on NTS to appreciate Dub Athlete’s crafts.

Daksh –
With appearances on NTS for livwutang and Jon K, Daksh rises to the top when it comes to digging deep for untold stories. Dub, post-punk, and Kenyan drill are all within the selector’s wheelhouse. Between running his monthly Sneaky Pete’s night membrane featuring revered underground guests and his regular radio appearances on EHFM & Noods, Daksh has done more than solidify himself in both Scotland and further afield as a respected crate digger.

Red Room Sound:
ELANDA + Smiff

June 12th, 2025

Up next in the Red Room this Thursday:

We’re thrilled to welcome one of Scotland’s most respected selectors, Elanda, for a special extended set. Known for her richly textured, genre-spanning selections — from Afro-inspired electronica and jazz to UK bass and dubstep — Elanda crafts immersive journeys through cutting-edge club sounds.

Her momentum continues with a standout debut solo release on Scottish label Redstone Press (2024), blending UK techno, bruk, and Afro-jazz into a forward-thinking fusion.

Joining her is Red Room founder and local favourite Smiff, playing his final hometown session before relocating to London. Together, they’ll bring a powerful blend of percussion, breakbeats, and sound system energy for an unforgettable all-night set.

Foxing
Cuttings
so boring
at The Mash House
For fans of… TV On The Radio, Manchester Orchestra, Modest Mouse

June 8th, 2025

Following their previous upgraded and sold out Edinburgh show, we are stoked to welcome back this incredible St. Louis Missouri band.

Their self-titled fifth album Foxing (7.8 Pitchfork) might just be their best. They balance hopefulness with nihilism, the pastoral with the tumultuous, visceral noise rock and intimate bedroom cassette experiments. Sometimes cruising at the edge of collapse, the dramatic dynamics in Foxing’s music have never felt so extreme.
