Japanther has made its name with unique performance situations, appearing alongside synchronized swimmers, atop the Williamsburg Bridge, with giant puppets, marionettes and shadow puppets, in the back of a moving truck in Soho, and at shows with giant dinosaurs and BMXers flying off the walls.

Allo Darlin’ are a fan’s band. They are close friends that found each other and the music they make in London. Elizabeth and Bill are from Australia, Mike and Paul are from Kent. They’ve only been playing seriously as a band since January 2009. Their debut album was released on Fortuna Pop in June 2010 to widespread critical acclaim. They spent much of 2010 on the road in the UK, Europe and America. The band are currently working on their follow-up.

Frantic Chant is a psychedelic indie rock band from Leith. The band released the album Oscillator at the tail end of last year on Youngteam Records. This was their second album for the label. The band also had a song, Eight Minutes High, included on the hugely successful Dogs Got A Bone compilation album. The gig at Sneaky Pete’s is part of a mini Scottish tour which is also stopping in Dunfermline, Saltcoats, Kirkcaldy and Glasgow.
Next up the band will be filming a video for their song Forgive Me, Mr August which will be out in March.
There will be a brand new single recorded in March for release at the beginning of May

High Places is Rob Barber and Mary Pearson. Throughout its nearly five years of existence, the band has traveled extensively and performed in a multitude of environments.
Whether performing at the Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan or in an industrial warehouse in Santiago, Chile, High Places’ enveloping sound and propulsive energy allow the music to translate to a variety of venues.
Visual art plays an important role in Mary and Rob’s collaboration. The two make video projections for their stage shows, keep a photo blog that documents their travels, hellohighplaces.blogspot.com, and create their own album artwork. In this way and others, Mary and Rob challenge the conventional parameters of a rock band and instead give us a multi-sensory aesthetic partnership that continually defies expectations.
