Junk Pups make their return to Edinburgh and The Forbidden Zone for a banging Sneakys Headline! Self-described ‘pup-rock’-ers blend elements of queer pop, funk, punk & americana delivered straight to your eyes and ears this August!

The Forbidden Zone has teamed up with Sneaky Pete’s to help deliver a night of some of the best new Scottish acts as part of their festival month listings – EDINBURGH IS A SCENE!

Junk Pups last played Edinburgh in October last year as part of our ‘ Boo Fest’ and they stunned us with their costumes, moves and stage presence and since then we’ve been dying to have them back

Joining them we have a bill of Edinburgh’s finest in Comfort Girl and Skinny Imps! Both faves of the scene and TFZ and will be your only chance to catch them in August!

Sir Hiss is blazing a trail through the electronic music scene with his high-voltage fusion of grime, electro, techno and beyond. Be it grimey flute lines, robo-funk rhythms or precision drum work you know it’s going to be a sizzling dancefloor experience.

In addition to his own career, Sir Hiss runs his own imprint, ‘No More Mailouts’, a no-fussing, back-to-basics outlet for anything with a thumping great low end.

Equally at home cooking up bangers in the studio, or shelling raves behind the decks, Sir Hiss continues to solidify his position as a producer and DJ to watch – closely.

Glasgow jazz and abstract hip-hop collective Kai Reesu make their debut this Wednesday alongside Scottish neo-soul rising stars Dank Mango and Becca Sloan.
