Stillhound plus special guest Emilie

March 28th, 2017

Edinburgh based Stillhound, consisting of Fergus Cook, Laurie Corlett-Donald and Dave Lloyd met in 2009 at highschool taking inspiration from art, geography and the far flung soundscapes of their homeland, creating an avant-pop record with glacial electronics and packed with unashamed synth pop moments. In October 2016, they released their debut album ‘‘Bury Everything’, mixed by Gareth Jones (Depeche Mode, Interpol, Grizzly Bear) and was mastered at Abbey Road.

Wylde, Sway, Nasari, Sam sold out

March 26th, 2017

Drawing influence from the likes of DIIV and My Bloody Valentine, Wylde are a 4 piece post punk/shoegaze band based out of Edinburgh, Scotland, whose sound solely revolves round dark and intertwining reverb and chorus drenched guitar riffs and untamed feedback and noise. The band recently released their single “How” in February and have supported the likes of the Van Ts, Big Thief, and played Truck Festival in Oxford.

IDLES + Birdhead sold out

March 25th, 2017

IDLES met as a quintet at the death of the indie scene in Bristol and began making visceral and sometimes unlistenable post-punk to a growing crowd. They began with their own club night Batcave and practicing religiously until they felt they had found their sound and their live show; with that in check they have now completed their first album and are savaged in hunger to play their music. They want to give themselves and their art to the audience in a concise and violent way unrivalled by their peers. They have no qualms in terrifying and entertaining in the same breath. They celebrate their influences in a vitriolic and belligerent sound that is both familiar and new. They are a nose-bleed on the ears and they’re here to show you they care.

Lezure 020: Willow (Workshop)

March 24th, 2017

After last year’s one off in Sneaky’s, we are thrilled to be back with another special. After hearing her incredible Workshop debut “Feel Me” in 2015, Willow has been on our radar ever since. Her unique DJ sets match the left-field aesthetic of the Workshop sound; joining the dots between the worlds of minimal, house and techno. In 2016, Willow released her landmark follow-up record A2 (Workshop 23), a record which has been on rotation in all the best deejays sets, and was not to mention #4 on RA tracks of the year. This year seems set to be Willow’s year, don’t just take out word for it though – come check out Workshop’s First Lady grace the turntables at Sneaky’s

Jonny Jewel plus Sahara and Oskar Braves

March 23rd, 2017

Jonny can’t really remember the beginning. he was very young. He remembers not wanting to go down to the basement. He remembers opening the door to darkness and the interminable steps. Then the light and a sparkling red fender supersonic… a video recording machine… an old tv… re-runs of the Monkees and the Banana Splits shows… vinyl records… Television… the Ramones… Edwyn Collins…and Roxy Music! Jonny was entranced, so he practiced under the light of the marquee moon…until…he was ready.
