Luke Carey + Lester Clayton + Craig McMorrow

November 10th, 2018

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Jamie T, Ed Sheeran, Eminem and Damien Rice, Luke Carey has crafted his own unique style into his songwriting.

Relatable, honest and truly talented, this 23 year old North Londoner merges contemporary and upbeat vocals with a classic acoustic style.

Join the world of a young guy trying to find his feet and sharing his highs & lows of navigating the fields of romance and carving a career as a musician with a pinch of humour and one hell of a talent for song-writing.

A firm believer in the 10,000 hour rule, Luke set himself the challenge of playing 100 gigs in 100 days which proved a huge success and is one of the reasons he credits for making the Top 10 of the iTunes chart without a hint of PR.

Coinciding with this success he won the Unsigned Stars Competition, a feat previously held by MOBO and Brit Award winning grime artist Stormzy

Lester Clayton and his band are award winning songwriters who have been winning over audiences across the UK with songwriting wit which combines Political and Social commentary, Love Poetry and support for the Everyman and the Underdog.

2016 saw the band collect a Platinum award for best original score at the NYC Indy Film awards, meanwhile 2017 sees the release of the highly anticipated Home Truths EP as a followup to previous releases The Breadline EP and The Lifeline EP which peaked at number 10 on the iTunes Songwriter Chart.

Lester Clayton have forged their own style they call ‘STREET FOLK’ combining REGGAE, SOUL, FOLK and HIP HOP to create a unique sound which is capturing audiences imagination at venues including Brixton Academy, Manchester Academy, Ronnie Scott’s, Glasgow ABC, HMV Picturehouse, Islington Academy and hundreds more.

Craig Mc Morrow a singer/songwriter from the west of Ireland. He was an ex contestant in The Voice of Ireland 2014. Craig’s music interests include rock, acoustic and folk. Craig has enjoyed a successful career gigging for years all over the world in many different formats. He spent the last year writing and is about to record his debut EP after 2 successful single releases last year.

Craig has supported acts such as BrownBear, Lester Clayton, Ryan McMullan, Hermitage Green, Rackhouse Pilfer and may more. Craig is excited for what 2018 has to offer. He gigs full time and being on stage is where he shines.

John Edge & The Kings of Nowhere + Hamish Hawk & The New Outfit + Heir of The Cursed

November 9th, 2018

JOHN EDGE & THE KINGS OF NOWHERE

Emerging from the mists of the Scottish Highlands, John Edge & The Kings of Nowhere provide an energetic live show with songs about love, life, death, and all else in between.

The members of the band contribute different styles that combine to create a unique sound, ranging from John Frusciante-esque guitar licks to intricate prog-influenced drumming, all fused together and driven by Edge’s enchanting lyrics and totality on stage. Folk-music meets post-rock culminating in an abundance of raw power, melodious songs, and huge dynamics.

‘Edge is a supple, entrancing songwriter. An artist of real power… Easy on the ear yet intensely emotional.’

Robin Murray, CLASH Music

HAMISH HAWK & THE NEW OUTFIT

Hawk’s ability to surprise, enchant and bewilder at every turn has rendered him an endearing figure in the Scottish contemporary music scene.

The Edinburgh-based songwriter performs regularly throughout the UK alongside the likes of King Creosote, This Is The Kit, Idlewild, Evan Dando, Simon Joyner, Withered Hand, Out Lines and Lomond Campbell. His songs have been featured on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 6 Music and Scottish Fiction.

‘gorgeous, erudite indie-pop’

Nicola Meighan, BBC Radio Scotland

HEIR OF THE CURSED

Heir of The Cursed is a caulbearer born of an apparition, a primordial memory, a penny drop. She makes songs influenced by the strange nuances of life, rooted in grief, Scottish weather, the constant and the inconstant.
