Independent Venue Week
Allusinlove, Fabric Bear and Shredd

February 3rd, 2019

Not just three bands who have a penchant for pink in their press shots, this is one TURBO bill!

Rockers Allusinlove (formerly Allusondrugs) have come good on the massive promise they’ve shown, and have an incredible new record made with Alan Moulder and Katherine Marks (Wolf Alice, QOTSA, Interpol, Foo Fighters, Foals).

Fabric Bear were our favourite local rock act of 2018 and they have reassembled and rearranged to give us a fresh slice of the pie.

Shredd are a brilliant band on Glasgow’s awesome Fuzz- kill label who we book every chance we can get.

Firecracker Recordings Presents
Heal Yourself & Move #19 w/ DJ Guy & Other Lands

February 2nd, 2019

For our first outing of the last year of the 2010s we are fair pleased to welcome, on the 1210s: Cardiff’s chief selector, veteran music maker and all round good geezer DJ GUY.

Guy Evans first caught our ears a few years back, when the top chaps at Glasgow’s All Caps released a few of the timeless gems he made back in the 1990s. There has followed a steady slew of output on labels such as Organic Analogue Records, Hypercolour, Cejero and, most recently, Exotic Robotics. Regardless of when the material might date from, consistently ecstatic undercurrents flow throughout.

The same energy, emotion and depth of knowledge permeates his DJ sets, which is why it is with no small amount of excitement that we look forward to him gracing the booth in our favourite wee sweatbox in the galaxy.

Warm up duties will be taken care of our very own Other Lands, who is very much looking forward to seeing you all there.

Seven sheets on the door – catch yez on the floor.

Heavy Rapids + Public Practice + Holy Loaf

February 2nd, 2019

Alongside Rascalton, Heavy Rapids are part of a new wave of Glasgow bands with incredible punk energy and a following that really feels like the germ of a huge scene.

We’ve paired them with NYC’s frankly astonishing Public Practice who harness the coolest funkiest bits of CBGB proto-punk with a 2019 textural awareness and sass.

Rascalton + Strange Bones – sold out

January 31st, 2019

This year’s theme for our Independent Venue Week is that it’s punk as f*ck and turned up to eleven, and these two magnificent bands, from Glasgow and Blackpool respectively, really define that attitude, as well as giving us our first advance sellout show of the year.
