Politically aware, funky, laid-back then vitriolic, Skinny Pelembe has a lot to say and delivers it with a fantastic band that swerves from dream-pop groove to springy agile guitar-funk. Since his show we hosted at Paradise Palms last year, he’s released a full length debut on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood imprint, played a speight of festivals including the 6Music Festival and We Out Here, and featured on the infamous COLORS sessions.
