EOEMetaTOUR

November 8th, 2019

On his right forearm, East of Eli frontman Nathan West proudly brandishes the phrase, “Music is medicine for the soul.” It echoes loudly as a personal and artistic mantra for the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and philanthropist. As such, his music extracts and excavates identifiable emotion from the union of Americana song craft, electronic unpredictability, and rock ballast. Just above this ever-changing soundscape, he holds nothing back lyrically and dispenses a sonic remedy of his own.
The EOE META TOUR is focused on giving back and raising awareness for charities on behalf of all attendees,10% of all ticket & merchandise sales will donated to local charities in the cities that host EOE live concert events.

Cousin Kula in 6 Tunes

November 7th, 2019

We’re so excited to have Cousin Kula play for us on 24th November – when we caught their set at The Great Escape this year, we had to pick our jaws up off the floor after.

The Bristolian six-piece met on the city’s progressive jazz scene and bonded over their shared love for an incredibly eclectic range of music, all of which rear their heads in the band’s mind-bending fusion sound – at once sun-drenched pop and kaleidoscopic psyche with air-tight prog licks and infectious afrobeat-inspired rhythms.

It got us thinking: what on earth will their tour bus sound like?! We asked the lads to pick a tune they’ve had on heavy rotation, and they did not disappoint!

Nu Guinea – Nuova Napoli

Elliot (Lead Vocals & Guitar): “Had this tune on repeat on my 11 hour flight to Mexico, head jamming to it while everyone around me was snoring – you can’t beat a grooving bassline that doesn’t stray from the theme for the entire tune.”

Bon Iver – Hey, Ma

Doug (Synths & Sax): “Have had this on heavy rotation since its release earlier this year – Bon Iver’s music is a gorgeous blend of honest songwriting and boundary pushing sounds”

Flying Lotus – More ft Anderson .Paak

James (Drums): “Haven’t stopped playing this track these past few months. Inspiring that Fly Lo sat on it for 5 years, waiting for the right time to release it.”

The Jones Girls – Nights Over Egypt

Ollie (Bass guitar): “This is my go to tune! Sits in the sweet spot of being very chilled but very groovy”

Jambinai – Sawtooth

Jordan (Guitar and Backing Vocals): “Haven’t stopped listening to this band Jambinai! A Avant-Rock band from Seoul, Korea. They use traditional Korean folk music instruments! Really amazing stuff!”

Hether – When U Loved Me

Will (Synths and BVs): “Think I found this guy through instagram because it was posted by another artist – Kiefer (who is also great) I think they’re mates. Anyway, this song is infectious. Healthy amounts of detune modulation is always a plus in my book”

Cousin Kula play Sneaky Pete’s on 24th November, supported by TEEK.
