Wild Front + Llovers
December 4th, 2019
Organically formed, South Coast Band, Wild Front, aim to pair the unrestrained emotions of music with the capricious nature of life. It came as no surprise when the band formed, as the four boys had been musically working together for years.
Although 80’s rock and alternative indie is a love they all share, their primary musical influences are so different ranging from folk to hip hop. It’s this exotic mix that creates their unique and distinctive sound.

Soul Jam is 10: Cap’n Goodtimes
December 3rd, 2019
Soul Jam turns 10 years old! That’s 520 Tuesdays, 2,200 hours of dancing, at least 1200 Jägerbombs, 26,000 songs (lots of Teddy Pendergrass) and plenty of difficult Wednesdays.
To celebrate, we’re inviting some of our friends to take us all the way up to NYE, which will be the LAST EVER Soul Jam on a Tuesday, after which we are excited to be taking up a coveted monthly weekend slot at Sneaks.
This week sees the return of Cap’n Goodtimes, swashbuckling first mate of HMS Sneaks and director general of EH-FM. A truly dedicated fan of Shakatak, expect many extended piano solos and a night firmly in that beautiful liminal zone on the knife edge of cheesy disco jazz.

ONE MORE RIDE
November 30th, 2019
It’s the end of an era.
After 11 brilliant years, we have decided to hang up our headphones and say goodnight to RIDE.
Checkie and I have had the best time playing our favourite music over the years. We’ve loved dancing, laughing, singing, and the incredible atmosphere everyone creates when they gather for the RIDE party every month.
Thanks to all the fabulous people who have made the past 11 years so wonderful – to the incredible and dedicated bar staff – to the bouncers who have put up with one too many ‘ONE LAST TUNES’ (sorry guys!) – and of course to everyone who comes down every month and and makes the night such a pleasure: where people feel happy to be themselves and dance to our favourite tunes. We wouldn’t have kept doing it if it wasn’t for all you lovely people ??.
Hopefully we’ll be back for a wee guest appearance at Sneaky Pete’s in the future…
MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED US. ?????????? You’re just a bladdy great bunch ?.
Much love, LAUREN AND CHECKIE

Childcare + Bikini Body
November 30th, 2019
Yes! One of our favourite acts we hosted in 2017 and 2018 are back with an album ready to go. Real high-end indie pop with quirk, swagger and charm, these guys will go far.
Since last year they have been playing their biggest shows to date – in front of thousands as part of Bastille’s nationwide arena tour.
Ed Cares, one of west London’s most in-demand male nannies, was overheard humming a song he had written, by Katie, aged six, who persuaded him to form a band: “You’re probably my second favourite artist after Katy Perry.” Sourcing some neighbourhood musicians — Emma Topolski (bass), Rich Legate (guitar) and Glyn Daniels (drums) — Ed soon had an able band to perform with, and gave it the only logical moniker in the circumstances: CHILDCARE.
