Delta Mainline Intimate Christmas Show
December 13th, 2019
Central Belters / Sneaky Pete’s presents an intimate Christmas show from Delta Mainline, fresh from the release of their 2019 sophomore album “Bel Avenir”. Support TBA.
DELTA MAINLINE:
Dubbed as gloriously out of step with the rest of Scottish music, Delta Mainlines unique mix of dream pop, shoegazing soundscapes, electronic experimentation, and psychedelia-infused garage rock has brought invitations to perform with Moon Duo, Micah P. Hinson, Jane Weaver, Elephant Stone, The Warlocks and The Telescopes, plus widespread critical acclaim.
Recorded at Chem19 and mastered by Geoff Pesche (Aphex Twin, Blur) at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, debut single Vultures included remixes by Miaoux Miaoux and Remember Remember. Vultures was licensed to Action for Children for their 2016 campaign, premiering on Glastonburys Pyramid Stage. Debut LP Oh! Enlightened was released through Rehab Sound (UK) and Halcyon Records (North America) to unanimous critical acclaim – notably from Uncut, Q Magazine, Artrocker, The Scotsman and God Is in the TV. The release was celebrated with a UK headline tour and BBC live session with Vic Galloway.
Further radio play has included Lauren Laverne on BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 1 and Amazing Radio, with the latters Jim Gellatly (the voice of new music in Scotland) previously championing Delta Mainline as one of the countrys finest live acts. This live sound was captured on EP In a World Full of Madness, the Simple Joy of Melody Can Pull You Through (mastered by CHVRCHES Iain Cook), as the songs cascade from gospel-tinged melodies to intense sonic experimentation.
Previously, the band were showcased amongst the cream of the guitar-based psychedelia-influenced crop (Drowned in Sound) on Strung Out Vol. 1 with Caribou and The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Delta Mainlines 2nd album “Bel Avenir”, mixed by The Delgados Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand, Teenage Fanclub), launched in May 2019 with support from Clash Music and Vic Galloway on BBC 6Music.

Rascalton
December 12th, 2019
Rascalton, a 4-piece indie rock outfit from Glasgow, are part of a new wave of Scottish acts that includes Declan Welsh & The Decadent West, Pleasure Heads, THE NINTH WAVE, and LUCIA. They are reclaiming the word “band”, bringing it back to its roots of self-expression within a community, of like-minded individuals sharing art as not only a means of enjoyment but of survival.
Spurred on by boredom and limited employment opportunities are carving out a new state of youth culture centred around local haunts like Stereo Cafe Bar and Priory Bar Sauchiehall Street. It seems where there is little distraction beautiful things are able to grow and blooming they are in Glasgow
Jack, Steve, Mark and Greig make up Rascalton, and like most bands of note, the project was spawned from the tinkerings in a garage which somehow became succinct and digestible. Those same nascent noises are now the fully formed, somewhat brutal ruminations on life and love in the city that have come to define the band, with tracks like “Lust” and “Alone” bringing them acclaim from London Town to East Kilbride.
One of the many qualities of Rascalton is their disinterest in what other people think about their music. So many acts are trapped in this idea that a band has to look a certain way or make a certain song to get to a certain point so they can actually start making the music they really wanted to make in the first place. This new Glasgow set seem to have rejected that idea, rather embracing the age-old philosophy of “If you like it cool if not also cool (but go fuck yourself)”. Whilst most other bands and remnants of scenes are drowning in inadequacy Rascalton and co have their feet firmly on dry land.”

Lady Bird + Snash
December 11th, 2019
Mega punk 3-piece Lady Bird are Slaves’ fave new band and they might just be ours! Catch em tearing up Sneaks in December.
A comic critique of British culture from the inside looking out, if Mike Skinner had picked up a guitar and a bag of speed he might just have come up with this dark dancefloor tear-up riot. Well good.
Soul Jam: C-Shaman
December 10th, 2019
Soul Jam turns 10 years old! That’s 520 Tuesdays, 2,200 hours of dancing, at least 1200 Jägerbombs, 26,000 songs (lots of Teddy Pendergrass) and plenty of difficult Wednesdays.
To celebrate, we’re inviting some of our friends to take us all the way up to NYE, which will be the LAST EVER Soul Jam on a Tuesday, after which we are excited to be taking up a coveted monthly weekend slot at Sneaks.
The shaman returns. Founding father of Heaters, acclaimed Wednesday neighbour night at Sneaks – it is a little known fact that a couple of moons ago, C-Shaman made his Sneaky Pete’s debut at Soul Jam so we’re delighted to host him again to dust off those disco heaters once more.

Vetiver + Jane Blanchard + Sanna
December 10th, 2019
We are extra pleased to present this very special solo show.
Vetiver is the long-running stage and recording name of San Francisco’s Andy Cabic. ‘Up On High’ is his seventh studio album and the first since 2015. Vetiver has toured around the world on headline tours and supporting artists that include Wilco, TheShins, Fleet Foxes, Beach House, Bob Weir & Phil Lesh, and Vashti Bunyan.
Vetiver craft nuanced, understated songs that reward careful listening, building a rich duality; a space where sunshine is only a chord away from melancholy, an introspective lyric underlies an extroverted chorus and subtlety tries to be outgoing in an effort to connect the dots of life’s ellipsis.
‘Up On High’ was made with an extraordinary cast of musician friends who work with Father John Misty, Peter Bjorn and John, Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Kevin Morby, Cass McCombs, and Wild Nothing.
