NIMMO are two best friends from London, a queer pop duo, event curators and a fully independent female partnership. They work with a DIY ethos that is rooted in the foundations of community and the power of collaboration.
NIMMO have independently become an integral asset in the platforming of queer female talent, presenting to a wider audience. Combining punk roots with strong influence from the mid-90’s euphoria of their childhoods, NIMMO’s music reflects a nocturnal escapism.
At the end of 2018, NIMMO released their first EP featuring a collaboration with Maya Jane Coles and a remix from Shura. This in turn lead to the release of their debut album “The Power” in June 2019. NIMMO exhibited their new stripped back, high energy and extremely intimate live set at a sold out headline show in London.
This new set up will be taken on tour globally, including a stop off at Sneaks!

Brazilian Wax with Trepanado [Selvagem]
March 16th, 2020
Brazilian Wax are back at Sneaky Pete’s after their sold out affair back in October. This time, they will be bringing, all the way from Brazil, the inspirational and influential DJ and label founder, Trepanado (Selvagem, Selva Discos).
—
Following on from hosting São Paulo’s DJ Tahira in 2019, this March Brazilian Wax will be setting out across the UK, playing alongside another hugely influential Brazilian DJ: Trepanado (Selvagem / Selva Discos).
Trepanado is the stage name for Augusto Olivani, one of the founders and current commander of the Selvagem party collective, and boss of Selva Discos label. Throughout its 8-year existence, Selvagem has consistently been one of the continent’s most influential and important labels, showcasing an anarchic amalgam of obscure House, Techno, Soul, Jazz, and almost every other musical style. With a compelling blend of technical mastery and enthralling showmanship, Trepanado has become one of Latin America’s most revered DJs. A regular fixture throughout South and Central America, he has also embarked upon 5 European and North American tours, showing his talent at parties such as Full Moon Festival (New York), Calvi on the Rocks, Concrete Paris, and Dekmantel Amsterdam, where he will be returning this summer.
With a swathe of weird and wonderful reissues on his Selva Discos label (and, indeed, some tried-and-tested dancefloor-fillers, such as Barbatuques’ “Baianá”), as well as a recent much-loved compilation, “Street Soul Brasil”, released through New York’s Hello Sailor label, Brazilian Wax are thrilled to share Trepanado’s wildly deep and diverse repertoire with UK audiences this March.

Fast-becoming a familiar fixture in the UK’s global-music club scene, the last couple years have seen Leeds-based DJs, promoters and radio presenters, Brazilian Wax, cutting their teeth at packed-out parties nationwide. Recently, the duo has been rubbing shoulders with current big-hitters within the UK’s most border-pushing, globe-spanning club scene, playing alongside and hosting the likes of: Boiler Room founder, Global Roots (Thris Tian), Mafalda, Mr Bongo, Patrick Forge, Social Joy, Young Marco, Late Nite Tuff Guy and, UK jazz trailblazers, Nubya Garcia and Emma-Jean Thackray. They also host a quarterly residency at London’s NT’s Loft, the first of which was a sold-out affair alongside Tim Garcia.
