Scenes in The City (EHFM) celebrate the finale of their ten episode series in which they weaved their way through the genres making waves in and around Edinburgh all whilst embracing the history, considering the present, and looking to the future.

To ensure the series ends with a bang, they have enlisted 3 of Edinburgh’s most exciting acts to play them out: young rapper Edz, DIY musician Swiss Portrait and the anti-Flat Earth jazz outfit, Grace and The Flat Boys.

Come along and embrace the fluidity of genre within the scenes of our city!

Back again for another Chaos In The Cosmos takeover at Sneaky Pete’s. A rather wholesome party full of dancers, sweat, disco, italo and house.

It’s time for the first Aquelarre of the year.

On this occasion, we’re hosting local talent Lonely Carp, a conceptual artist and experimental musician who draws from industrial and neoclassical influence to express the raw complexity of a lived trans experience. Music director of Spit It Out and host of Constantly Failing show on EHFM, an account of the abrasive noise and music that has accompanied her life events as a trans artist.

Lonely Carp will deliver a live art performance with an electric double bass and keys within the first hour of the night. Mixing field recordings, noise and queer industrial music. Pako Vega, head shaman of Aquelarre and label Sounds Of Ogigia, will be crafting his unique mix of trippy leftfield, heavy electro beats and dark synths for the rest of the night.

Welcoming Greenhouse Records for their next party at Sneaky Pete’s! Packing their bags full of deep dance floor cuts, the crew will be spinning all night long.

Childcare make whip-smart, tight-as-hell tracks, with the drive of punk, the sardonic lyricism of Alex Turner and the catchiness of the best early noughties indie. They’re a band we’ve had at the club a few times, and we love them because they make and play music with so much love and attention…charismatic, hook-perfect guitar pop.
