Soul Jam with Saint Sunday

January 29th, 2022

Christ on a bike, its Soul Jam this Saturday!

Bit late on the old heads up, but until we knew it deffo would happen we didn’t want to whip ourselves, or anyone else, into any more of a maddened anticipatory frenzy than was necessary. Safety first…

We’ve had confirmation from on high, though, and the party is a good un. Cheesin that the high priest of EHFM Saint Sunday’s coming along with a satchel full of songs to dance to – please do join us in the maddened frenzy if you are nice and also you want to ? and for heaven’s sake, do an LFT before you do…

Mariachi Death Squad

January 27th, 2022

Mariachi Death Squad are a reverb crashin’, point breakin’ instrumental power surf rock band from Edinburgh.  They are akin to the Fujiwara Effect where, after a delicate and intricate display, everything is blown away.

The Revive Live Tour:
Cultdreams *Postponed*

January 26th, 2022

Self-described sad Lo-fi punk, Cultdreams have turned heads with their 2017 debut album Seafoam and their 2019 sophomore Things That Hurt, receiving lashings of praise from Kerrang! Magazine, The Skinny, Louder Than War and She Shreds (just to name a few!). The subject of their music is often raw but always poignant, addressing sexual harassment and misogyny in society.

Tickets on sale Friday.

This January, Music Venue Trust is continuing it’s The National Lottery association to help #ReviveLive music in grassroots music venues across the UK with The National Lottery Revive Live Tour. Hundreds of live music shows will be funded by The National Lottery, which helps kickstart quality live music and put artists back into venues where they belong.

We’re inviting you to buy a ticket for one of these shows, and because we know you have been itching to get back out and see some live music, when purchasing you can claim another ticket courtesy of The National Lottery ABSOLUTELY FREE! All you need to do to qualify for this offer is to show proof on the door that one of you is a National Lottery player, either with a physical ticket, or using the National Lottery app.

EHFM & Scenes in the City:
Grace and The Flat Boys, Swiss Portrait, Edz

January 24th, 2022

Scenes in The City (EHFM) celebrate the finale of their ten episode series in which they weaved their way through the genres making waves in and around Edinburgh all whilst embracing the history, considering the present, and looking to the future.

To ensure the series ends with a bang, they have enlisted 3 of Edinburgh’s most exciting acts to play them out: young rapper Edz, DIY musician Swiss Portrait and the anti-Flat Earth jazz outfit, Grace and The Flat Boys.

Come along and embrace the fluidity of genre within the scenes of our city!
