Heaters:
Lauren Hansom
Telfort
Noodle

August 24th, 2022

Strap yourself in, it’s the final 5am Heaters session of the Festival and we’re closing out in style with Lauren Hansom, Telfort and Noodle.

Lauren’s one of our favourite DJs and a best pal to the club. Her oddball selections weave through genres and eras across the continents with ease. There’s no one more suited to soundtrack our final 5am knees-up.

For the occasion we’ve drafted in longtime Sneaks resident (and Edinburgh’s finest) Telfort to close proceedings, with GRDN collective’s Noodle joining the bill too.

Choice house cuts, rare dance gems and classic party music all night long.

Central Belters 2022
Surprise Chef
Ferns
for fans of… Moses Boyd, Mildlife, John Maus

August 22nd, 2022

Surprise Chef are Melbournes cinematic soul journeymen, pushing moody shades of instrumental jazz-funk with a DIY mentality.
The centerpiece of the College Of Knowledge Records roster, Surprise Chef’s output reflects a meticulous education of 1970’s soul, touching on the legacies of composer/producers David Axelrod & Isaac Hayes, with cues also taken from the catalogues of Daptone and Truth & Soul.
Their debut LP All News Is Good News, released on College Of Knowledge in November 2019 and will be released worldwide via Mr. Bongo in the Spring 2020.
The LP slipped rapidly into the collective consciousness of underground music lovers around the world, with the first pressing selling out worldwide within a week of its release.
Surprise Chef’s live show is an odyssey through dark landscapes of analogue synth-laden funk and left-field library music-esque scenes; a flowing, linear puzzle of vivid minor-key expressions.’

Heyday is a queer night for people passionate about house music, with Prosumer, former Berghain/Panorama Bar resident. We are delighted to have him call Sneaky Pete’s his occasional club home.

Prosumer decamped to Edinburgh from Berlin where he helped shape the sound Berghain’s Panorama Bar. Now a popular NTS Radio resident, he’s continued to tour globally and is now equally well known as a frequent flyer at Homobloc, Glastonbury’s Block9 and NYC Downlow, Love International and numerous saucy Boiler Rooms.
