Scottish Alt/Pop band WUKASA walk a sonically fine line between a chilled night with the cat & waking up with a sore head, ringing ears and that special someone you’ve been unhealthily admiring on Instagram for (let’s face it) way too long…

Having immediately captured the intrigue and attention of the country with their exotic blend of shimmering guitars and old neighbour crushing 808’s, they have been described as a cocktail of Glass Animals, Everything Everything and easy life. Such individualism has seen them appear in many weird and messed up places such as New Music Friday UK, Hot New Bands, Topshop/JackWills/FredPerry, a BBQ pool party on Made In Chelsea and an opening clip on a show where people on an island find “LOVE?”

WUKASA arrive with a focused purpose and a fiery passion for their craft. With an explosive debut wave of bangers produced by a dream team of Rory McCallum (Bwani Junction), BuzzKiller (Robbie Williams, Olly Murs, SAINT PHNX), Adam Haggar (Childish Gambino, Kanye West) and Dave Lloyd (Stillhound), WUKASA are ready to make their mark on the Scottish music scene and beyond.

Hot Mess is a dance party for queer people and their friends.

Based along the Firth of Forth coast, Amateur Cult has created a unique take on post punk and electronica, embracing stark atmospherics, emphatic rhythms and retro synths referencing artists like Jonny Greenwood, Boards of Canada, Crack Cloud, Bjork, and the documentaries of Adam Curtis.

Created as a solo DIY project by Alastair Chivers, Amateur Cult released the debut album, The Mirrored Pattern, in October 2022 – a collection of songs that traverse darkwave and art rock, painting cerebral pictures for its listeners coloured with brooding drums, soundscape pianos and pagan melodies – receiving praise from BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq, Keep It Fast and Is This Music.

Now Amateur Cult performs live with a full band as part of a debut headline Edinburgh show, featuring members from Acidsaurus Bong, DTHPDL, Chuchoter, Robot Death Monkey, and rapper / MC TH!NK.

Special guests for the show are Midi Paul, the alter ego of Edinburgh electro synth/bassist/producer Phil McBride, featuring singer Sally Jaquet, and the looped saxophones and field recordings of artist, musician and architect, Andrew J Brooks.

Punk group Butterfly Brain are joined by Rona Roberts and Danny Menzies for a night of music and movement.

Plant Bass’d takes SweatBox into the Hyperverse dimension for one night of all out hyperpop, gabber, ethereal trance & hard dance fusions.

We’re flipping the club upside down and inside out with guest sets from Glasgow and Edinburgh in ELFZ, Danyo, and SeaUrchin, as well as an exciting feature from Dublin’s Skin & Blister regular MIA!

Harry Miles-Watson and The Union return to Sneaky Pete’s after their last strong headliner gig this time featuring special guests, Trading Glances and the return of The Overalls.
