Dan Byrne

November 19th, 2023

UK’s rock radio titans Planet Rock penned: “Expect his music to walk to the beat of legends past but with its own distinctly modern, toe-tapping swagger” in anticipation of his new music, and who can argue? As whether it’s chart success, selling out venues or working with industry heavyweights, Liverpool-born vocalist and songwriter Dan Byrne has checked it off. The former frontman and songwriter of Revival Black (who notably entered the UK Official Charts at #2 this year) is now set to reach new heights showcasing his voice and presence as a solo artist. Fresh out of legendary producer Andy Snap’s studio, where Dan tracked lead vocals for Myke Gray’s (Skin, Jagged edge, UFO) latest release, he is now laser focused and raring to release his new material to a new, wider audience.

Indie-rock outfit The Rackets began playing London’s live-music circuit while still underage. They have since headlined iconic venues such as Camden Assembly, The Fiddler, and The Amersham Arms. The band released their debut single ‘I Don’t Mind’ in 2022, followed by the self-produced ‘Back in a Minute’ the following year. Their music combines the raw guitar of The Libertines and the early days of The Strokes while drawing on indie influences like Courteeners and The Maccabees. With a heap of new music on the horizon, The Rackets are here to stay.

Lip Critic
Gravelle
for fans of… Death Grips, Danny Brown, Sabotage-era Beastie Boys, Bad Brains

November 17th, 2023

Formed in NY in 2018, these ferocious double-drumming electronic punks toured USA as support to IDLES. For fans of Death Grips, Danny Brown, Sabotage-era Beastie Boys and Bad Brains… yet Lip Critic are like no one else.

Formed in 2018 in New York, Lip Critic is the project of Bret Kaser, Connor Kleitz, Daniel Eberle, and Ilan Natter. The band is comprised of two samplers, two drummers and vocals. Through their untraditional instrumentation, Lip Critic executes an eclectic blend of punk, hardcore, club, modernistic pop sounds, and structures without inhibition. Paired with eccentric grandstand-style vocals, Lip Critic delivers a uniquely engaging live performance that rivals the hyper-stylized production on their records. These performances are heavily focused on improvisation and experimentation, including extended and remixed versions of songs, as well band members attaching portable lights to their bodies. Their projects include “Kill Lip Critic” in 2019, “Lip Critic II” in 2020 and “Lip Critic: Truth Revealed” in 2021.
