Fat Dads
The Vaunts
The Balugas

January 20th, 2024

Fat Dads have been making waves with their infectious tunes and unwavering DIY ethos. Their first four demos skyrocketed to acclaim, grabbing the attention of Radio 1 and Radio X through word of mouth alone.

Recognised as one of the UK’s most exciting new bands by Indie music tastemakers ‘This Feeling’, the physical copies of their debut EP sold out within 48 hours, reaching fans across Europe and America.

2023 started with a bang, as the first weekend in January saw the hashtag #FatDadsAFHF2023 started to trend on Twitter due to thousands of people wanting to see Fat Dads play at Louis Tomlinson’s ‘Away From Home Festival’ in 2023.

Their fifth release ‘Girlfriend’ smashed into iTunes top 20 on its release day.

Their first official Merchandise range (in collaboration with www.localbandtees.co) broke numerous site records on release day, with orders being shipped to England, Scotland, Germany, Holland, France, USA (East & West Coast), and Canada.

Fat Dads made their first festival appearance at Kendal Calling 2023 and played to a packed and overflowing tent (the largest crowd that the BBC Introducing tent had seen all weekend) of passionate fans, all singing the words back to them – a remarkable feat achieved entirely without industry contacts, PR, or management.

The back end of 2023 saw Fat Dads perform live on Radio X, and support Andrew Cushin. Their latest single Jenny was produced by Alex Quinn (The Royston Club, Overpass, Bandit)

Bake + Daksh

January 17th, 2024

Settling any January blues, we bring Bake!!

Founder of the Glasgow-based ’Spirit’ parties and Rinse FM resident, hearing Bake play is is like hanging out with a good friend: you might hear something new, or perhaps something familiar that sounds fresh thanks to his skills as an eclectic and vibrant selector.

An example of this was hearing him close with ‘Walk Away From Love – Bitty Mclean’ :)))

What Bake brings to the table is decidedly unique in the way that he’s able to deftly command a broad spectrum of music and filter it through his personality. Any record, even a record you or I might know and love, can sound new, as if Bake’s relationship with it is truly one of a kind.

On that note, I hope you can join us on the 17th January!!

Have just linked his most recent RA mix linked below (/¯? ? ?)/¯

Tickets start at £3 and finish at £7

Sunburn

January 17th, 2024

Dublin based band Sunburn are bringing their ‘Sunburn UK/IE Road Trip’ across the pond in January 2024. The first leg of an upcoming year full of touring stops off in Scotland. Sunburn have built their popularity by touring in the Dublin, Cork and Galway live scenes. Most recently, they performed a sellout headline gig at The Workman’s Club in Dublin. Sunburn released their debut single Jump the Gun independently, and it has gathered over 250,000 streams on Spotify through self-promotion alone. Their second single, All I’m Missin’ had a world exclusive release on BBC Music Introducing. The new single Thunder brings an edgier, more pinpointed sound than fans are used to, as the band continues to develop and find their perfect sonic performance. Thunder was featured on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday UK’ and also opened the show on release night on BBC Across the Line with Gemma Bradley.

Mile High Club:
Parris

January 15th, 2024

To truly kick things off for Mile High Club’s 2024 residency at Sneaky Pete’s, they’ve invited none other than the Hackney-born artist, Parris, to join them in a very special intimate party. A producer, DJ and label owner whose creative direction and experimental ear “reflects a decade in the engine room of UK club music”. His sound embodies the UK club noise with misty dubscapes, pulsating house and fragments of pop glitz.

From the sweatboxes of London to world-class clubs and festivals, multiple Boiler Room appearances to HÖR, Dekmantel, Lente Kabinet, Houghton and many many more. This very limited capacity event in everyone’s favourite wee sweatbox is going to be one hell of a way to start the year.

One Man Dancing
Inkfields

January 12th, 2024

One Man Dancing’s second album is due to be released in 2024. Expect intense raw emotions channeled through deep, catchy melodies sung from the heart accompanied by slightly overdriven guitars and moving beats and guitar solos. His live performances have been compared to the likes of Jeff Buckley, Sade, and Sting to Matt Corby, Paper Kites, Tash Sultana, and Ben Howard to name a few!

Inkfields latest album ‘The Third Side of the Coin’ was recently nominated for the SAY award (Scottish Album of the Year). One of the songs from the album ‘Your Head’s in the Sand’ gained song of the week on BBC Scotland.

Inkfields music has been forged through thousands of hours of street music across dozens of cities in Europe. From -12 degrees to +40 degrees, through rain, snow, wind and sun, Samuel has been out in all weathers.

The very way he writes and performs has been sculpted through what has often been a tough, but rewarding life on the road.
