Melanie Baker
Magpie Blue
Adam R
for fans of… Phoebe Bridgers, Courtney Barnett, Wet Leg, Hole

May 31st, 2026

Melanie Baker makes music about everything that hurts and everything that feels just right. Based in Newcastle (UK), she writes with unflinching honesty – songs that sway between noisy catharsis and quiet confession, between absurd humour and deep vulnerability. With pounding drums, fuzzy guitars, and tender lyrical precision, Baker reclaims the grit and spirit of ’90s alt-rock through a queer, modern lens.

PINS are a Manchester-based post-punk band formed in 2011, known for their raw, driving sound and sharp, politically aware edge. Led by vocalist and guitarist Faith Vern, the band blend jagged guitars, motorik rhythms and minimalist hooks, drawing influence from early punk, krautrock and noise rock. They broke through with their debut album Girls Like Us (2013), followed by Wild Nights (2015) and Hot Slick (2016), releases that earned them acclaim for their confrontational energy and uncompromising songwriting. common goldfish
***POSTPONED***
for fans of… Blur, Supergrass, T.Rex, Tame Impala

May 27th, 2026

Carving psych grooves through the grey sprawl of London, common goldfish is the underground project of Tottenham’s Jonty Lovell—producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a taste for breakbeats, warped synths, and that golden-era fuzz. Blending the swagger of Britpop, the groove of funk, and the pulse of ‘90s electronica, common goldfish sounds like a half-remembered night out— hazy, nostalgic and full of feeling.

What started as spontaneous sets in local skateparks and canals has since grown into a full-blown 4-piece live outfit—bringing a wild energy to venues like Camden Assembly and Peckham Audio, and owning the stage at
BBC Introducing showcases and The Great Escape’s First Fifty.
