Club Signal:
Linkwood
Aidan Gibson

July 18th, 2024

Welcoming a legend of British house and a master of the MPC, Edinburgh’s own Linkwood.

A true raver at heart, young Nick Moore first encountered dance music culture in Bristol’s vibrant early 90s hardcore and jungle scene, quickly becoming captivated by the city’s sound system culture. In his late teens, a move to the Scottish capital exposed him to more techno-centric sounds, gradually shaping his unique style. This fusion of jazz-heavy, Chicago, and Detroit-inspired elements would later become synonymous with the Linkwood moniker, culminating in one of the greatest Scottish house music releases of all time, the timeless Linkwood Family’s “Miles Away.”

Over the following three decades, the Firecracker alumnus honed his craft, becoming a master sound engineer, producer, and turntablist. He has built a record collection in the thousands and a personal catalogue that has influenced a generation of young artists and garnered support from luminaries such as Move D, Juan Atkins, and Riccardo Villalobos.

Linkwood has enjoyed a remarkable career with years of regular appearances at the best dances our globe has to offer, frequenting iconic venues such as Panorama Bar, Paris’s late-great Concrete, and early Dekmantel parties.

Expect esoteric mountain-range reverbs, dubbed-out techno, straight driving tracks, Chicago house, and Drexciyan electro, as we welcome a club favourite back to the Sneaky Pete’s for the first time since 2022.

Support by Sneaky Pete’s and Balamii resident Aidan Gibson.

Abandoned Stuff
Polar Bears in Purgatory
The Shorez

July 17th, 2024

An English man, Italian and a Scotsman walk into a rehearsal room… And had to start playing post-punk because they couldn’t understand each other…

Polar Bears in Purgatory –

Weirdo punk from nowhere, Scotland. Sideways songs for ourselves and for you!

The Shorez –

An Edinburgh based Garage Rock band with hints of Surf Rock, Punk and Indie in their music. Procrastinating since 2019, they finally pulled everything together in 2023, released 2 singles and played a few gigs, with many more to come.

Redstone Press x Eclipse Tribez:
Cabasa
RSII
Moray Leisure Centre
Lewis Lowe

July 13th, 2024

Redstone Press x Eclipse Tribez

The Belgian imprint takes a trip across the channel and up to Glasgow & Edinburgh for a self titled “record label dweebs meet-up”. Will we all lament the price of pressing records/shipment delay/brexit…? Without doubt. We will also however be playing music in both cities over the course of the 12/13th of July. For those who like percussive earworms, bass driven rattlers, swampy sonics and blissed out synth solos…

Label heads Cabasa and RSII arrive at The Flying Duck in Glasgow on Friday 12th and Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on Saturday 13th!

Both nights we’re letting them stretch out and showcase Eclipse Tribez and the wicked community they have created in Brussels. One of the first labels we started chatting to and swapping notes with early into Redstone Press, EC has been putting out consistently brilliant music and art since its conception. Kiosk Radio & Rinse residents and recurring fixtures at festivals like Horst, it’s a trip to be able to welcome them to Glasgow and Edinburgh for the first time!!

Support on both nights coming from label family Moray Leisure Center & Lewis Lowe.

Come to one, come to both?

Limited cheap tickets available on RA
£10 OTD

Special shout out to Claire & Natalie who used to work at Rye Wax for being the lynch pin in this ongoing friendship between labels!
