So Boring

December 14th, 2024

?PRETTY CRIME
?Four-piece band from Edinburgh, blending garage rock, DIY punk, and ’90s grunge. Their sound will take you from rage-fueled chaos to dreamy (and reckless) nostalgia, with a few unexpected detours along the way.
Blending punchy guitar riffs, heavy bass, a dash of ’80s synth, and raw, shouty vocals, Pretty Crime’s DIY spirit drives everything they do. It might even make you want to steal a moped or start a cult dedicated to boiler suits.
For fans of Amyl and the Sniffers, Wet Leg, Lambrini Girls, SPRINTS, Courtney Barnett, and Osees.

SHAMBOL!CA
?4 piece, female-led, indie guitar & keyboard post-punk inspired, alternative rock band from Edinburgh. Expect genre-crossing sounds, from riot girl pop, psychedelia, to brooding post-punk soundscapes.
Their music is as diverse as the personal experiences of life and womanhood that’s shaped their sound and lyrics. Brought together by Girls Rock School, Edinburgh, they all came together from different creative backgrounds with their own unique set of highly creative abilities, yet mediocre-superpowers.

? SO BORING
?Shoegaze/dreampop band from Edinburgh, formed in 2023. Taking inspiration from bands such as Cocteau twins, Alvvays, and Wolf Alice, their music combines distorted noise with dreamy melodies and angsty breakup lyrics. They are renowned for their anything but boring stage presence and headbanging tunes that you would be rather silly to miss!

Miss World:
Mantra
Feena & miira

December 13th, 2024

For our last club night of 2024, we’re welcoming MANTRA!

Mantra is synonymous with underground UK dance music. From her renowned clubnight Rupture featuring the likes of Tim Reaper, Dub Athlete, Double O, DJ Storm and more, to her work with EQ50 addressing gender inequality in drum & bass as well as holding down an NTS residency, Mantra is a powerhouse of the bass scene.

On releases on Ilian Tape and System Music, Mantra shows that as well as spinning jungle and drum & bass, she can masterfully combine influences from these genres and others to create weighty dub and garage tracks.

We’re thrilled to welcome this icon to the Sneaky Pete’s booth! Feena & miira on support

Sneaky Pete’s does not have accessible toilets, but there are some located in The Three Sisters a few doors down which we can accompany you to. Contact Miss World or Sneaky Pete’s with any questions about accessibility.

We will not tolerate any form of harassment or abuse, verbal or otherwise, including but not limited to sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia and ableism. We reserve the right to remove anybody not respecting these rules, the space or other dancers from the venue.
