Lou Mclean is a singer-songwriter based in Edinburgh, Scotland. In 2023 she formed her band ‘The Killjoys’ to bring a new dimension to her self-penned acoustic anthems. With driving drums and walking basslines, the Killjoys play riot grrrl pop with an edge. With a live set compared to The Beatles and Plumtree, Lou & the Killjoys bring a joyful, femme focussed live energy for fans of sharp lyricism and songs you can bop to. Your new favourite party band.

Mile High Club invites:
Feena (EHFM / Miss World)
Gilbo b2b yung kidd

December 16th, 2024

Mile High Club go back to their bass filled roots, inviting along a couple of Edinburgh’s finest exports: Feena (EHFM / Miss World) and Gilbo (YBZ / EHFM). The two headsy selectors have had their fair share of recent stardom in Scotland. Whether it’s playing to sold out basements of a decommissioned school or an underground nuclear bunker or helping give the dance music scene a voice in Scotland to debuting some of the best of the best in UK talent.

Coming off of a Keep Hush set for their Edinburgh debut, Feena recently warmed up for the godly Ben UFO. Her presence in the scene is second-to-none. Not to mention her ability to spotlight raw talent in Edinburgh and beyond through the successful waves of EH-FM and through multiple residencies over the years, including being part of and curating the Miss World massive. Her ability to stick out from the rest is exactly why we’ve asked her back to Mile High Club.

Gilbo is a symbol for the younger bass-and-breaks-generation. A producer with a serious ability to grab crowds by the horns whatever he plays. From jungle to UKG and UK Funky. Although new to the scene, he’s by no means a rookie to the dance. Whether it’s in his own collective YBZ or on the airwaves of EHFM, I don’t think we’ve ever heard him mess up a mix, and that’s saying something.

Expect some of the most eclectic electronic and dance has to offer in Scotland.

We’re excited to share the Sneaky Pete’s booth with these two once again. Our own yung kidd will be on the roster going b2b with Gilbo from doors. A limited run of free tickets are available in all the usual places.
