membrane:
Kiernan Laveaux and Daksh

October 15th, 2025

First one back from our summer hiatus – very excited to invited this specialist selector:

Kiernan Laveaux is a DJ and rhythmic energy conduit from the Great Lakes, known for her ecstatic, genre-fluid sets and deep roots in Cleveland’s underground. Emerging from DIY party crews like In Training and Disco Paradiso, she has become an adventurous spirit behind the booth. – celebrated for her arcane technical skill, propulsive dancefloor catharsis, and hyper-creative approach.

Channeling chaos, joy, and psychedelic momentum, she crafts dancefloor experiences that are as cathartic as they are transcendent.

No one turned away for lack of funds please email membranenite@gmail.com for further info + our safe space policy is always in place – we do not tolerate any forms of discrimination, harassment or unwelcome attention at our party, if there any issues please speak to any of the bar staff or djs

Ryder the Eagle
Puppy Teeth
Roy Molloy

October 13th, 2025

DIY hero, fallen Romeo, karaoke weirdo — the Mexico-based French balladeer is everything (and nothing) you might expect from an art-rock divorcé chasing dreams at your local dive bar.

With lo-fi synthy soundscapes, lyrical melodies, poetic songwriting, and cathartic one-of-a-kind performances, Ryder The Eagle tells his history with love more than his love stories – coating romantic despair with a chiseled wit that’ll transport you straight into a Kaurismäki movie soundtracked by a caffeine-driven Leonard Cohen.

David Sinclair Four (DS4)
Lorna Reid
for fans of… Ray Davies, Rolling Stones, Joe Bonamassa

October 12th, 2025

David Sinclair Four (DS4) bring their sharp, soulful brand of literate blues-rock to one of Edinburgh’s most intimate and electric venues. With a powerful new single just released and more in the pipeline, the band are on a creative roll — following the acclaim of their 2022 album Apropos Blues, ranked among the Top 10 Blues Albums of the Year by Blues Matters magazine.

Recent collaborations hint at special guests on the night: Glaswegian rapper Johnny Cypher, whose spoken-word tour-de-force lit up Apropos Blues, and Edinburgh singer Lorna Reid, who duetted with Sinclair on Coming Out of the Rain, a standout from the group’s 2015 Yellow album.

Special guests to be confirmed — and as Sinclair has worked with many stellar rock’n’roll performers in his journalistic life, who knows who might turn up?

“A show with imagination, flair and the chops to match — energetic, literate, and sharply in the moment.”

Jess Silk is a guitarist, singer and songwriter from the Black Country. Her shouty but melodic brand of folk/punk music often has her being likened to a female Frank Turner or Billy Bragg, and it gets people sitting up and listening. Over the past couple of years Jess has appeared at a number of festivals including Glastonbury where she shared a stage with Billy Bragg as part of his Radical Roundup on the Left Field stage.
