Precog Records Presents:
MIDI Paul (Live Ep Launch)

June 6th, 2019

Midi Paul + Chuchoter + Krowne

Midi Paul is the alter ego of bassist/producer Phil McBride. Expect stuttering drums, spliced up disco samples, wobbly arpeggios and some computer funk. On stage, the music evolves like a DJ set but in place of the turntables you will get live bass, dirty analogue synths and old school breakbeats.

Allysha Joy plus guests

June 5th, 2019

Oh man what a huge talent! Allysha Joy is best known for performing in Melbourne Jazz and Hip Hop collective 30/70, and their success over the past two years has lead her to further challenge her expression in a project of her own.

Allysha is pushing boundaries as a keys player (specifically Fender Rhodes), a poet, a singer and a producer. Until you see it live, it’s hard to understand how she man- ages to create her extraordinary full band sound in a solo show form just piano and sample pads, but all the beats are hers and she lays down some groove. “Know your power” indeed.

Allysha’s steady groove, husky vocal tone and unique style of writing tells her own personal truth with force.

Mouldy Soul Presents // Gallus

May 31st, 2019

After our last sell-out show, Mouldy Soul Promotions is coming back to Sneaky Pete’s.
We bring Gallus to Edinburgh on the 31st of May for Mouldy Soul VI alongside some excellent bands. Support comes from Bad Hombres, Weekend Debt and Medicine Cabinet – Wives. Tickets £5 before the gig and £6 on the door ?

Gallus are a Glasgow based 5 piece indie-punk band with a reputation for relentlessly energetic and entertaining live shows, rapidly building a keen and loyal fan base in their homeland. Formed in early 2017, they released their debut single “Nice” in March 2018 to much acclaim, and second single “Split”, from their debut EP, the following September. In the year since their first release, the band have found themselves with songs on Spotify editorial playlists, playing to a sold out Stereo for their EP launch, an at-capacity venue for Tenement Trail, and are set to play Stag & Dagger. With more songs on the way for summer 2019, the 5 piece are set to build on already fruitful 2019. ?

Bad Hombres – With influences ranging from dystopian fiction to classic British rock, garage rock and post-punk, the four-piece are quickly establishing themselves as one of Scotland’s best-emerging acts. Infusing a classic rock and punk grit with indie pop sensibilities and political lyrical wit, Bad Hombres’ live performances have made the band a force to be reckoned with.
Following the release of ‘Manuel!’, Bad Hombres later joined forces with one of their songwriting heroes Kieren Webster (The View). This saw the band lamenting the politically and socially abhorrent forces at play in the United Kingdom. ‘EMERGING from the depths of Glasgow’s dark underbelly are Bad Hombres; a rock’n’roll four-piece with heaps of swagger and a definite menacing streak (Tenement TV).’ ?

Weekend Debt – Grant, Calvin, Russell & Harvey make up the innovative indie rock band Weekend Debt from Glasgow, Scotland.
Growing up around music and progressing Glasgow artists, Weekend Debt have grown their own fan base from scratch and made an impact on the local music scene. Weekend Debt have now opened their account for 2019 with the instantly addictive sounds of ‘Tour de France’ – their first track in nearly two years making a roaring comeback in the Glasgow music scene. With plans to release an EP in the coming months, Weekend Debt have an exciting 2019 planned.?

Medicine Cabinet – Wives are an exciting new five-piece blurring the lines between sentimental new wave romanticism and cold, relentless post-punk chaos. Having only formed in January, the band have quickly built up a reputation as one of the most exciting new acts on the Scottish music scene. ?

Presented at Summerhall:
Erol Alkan – All Night Long // To The Rhythm

May 24th, 2019

24th May – Erol Alkan All Night Long at Summerhall

We’re throwing a big party at Summerhall to welcome back producer, DJ, label founder and old pal Erol Alkan.

This is the third time Erol has played all night long in Edinburgh, after last year’s sell-out party at The Caves (and the one before that at Sneaky Petes), this is another chance to present his unifying and unpredictable vision of club culture from open to close.

On a winding musical journey that has seen Alkan thrive as a producer, chameleonic remixer and radio host, from the era of seminal club ‘Trash’ to the present day, his spiritual home has been in the DJ booth…
