Sex Mask + Bandit (co-headline)
Corrine
for fans of… Fontaines D.C., Amyl & The Sniffers, Viagra Boys

May 20th, 2025

Vague pop instilled with the ancient genius of your own blood. Sex Mask holds the many trigger words your CIA handler doesn’t want you to know. We have several testimonials from fans attesting to semi-mystical experiences, some claim it to be Deja vu from a genetic memory long dormant and locked, Others speak of foreshadowed flashes of a past life they are yet to have lived. All of this, incited after only seconds of exposure to any of our available songs.

From the electric heart of Liverpool’s music scene, Bandit – hailed as Radio 1’s ‘Next Wave’ and supported by magazines such as DIY & DORK. Known for their incendiary, genre-blending sound, Bandit is gearing up to unveil their most daring work yet, showcasing a striking evolution in their artistry as the band evolves from their Indie / Alternative roots and set sail to a darker Post-Punk / Shoegaze-tinged sound.

Peter Cat
The Raeburn Brothers

May 17th, 2025

Glaswegian art pop auteurs PETER CAT return to Edinburgh for a full band headline show, ahead of their colossal new single and eponymous album, ‘Starchamber’.

‘Starchamber’ takes a hammer to the jaunty, twee avant-pop that Peter Cat formerly traded in – from the opening salvo of discordant, fuzzy guitar lines duelling with soaring, operatic vocals, it’s clear that we’re in entirely new sonic territory.

There’s shades here of Frank Zappa’s caustic playfulness, combined with a jazz-inflected crushing heaviness inspired by King Crimson, keeping this tune in step with the likes of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and Black Midi. All of this adds up to create a vibe that’s somehow both groovy and apocalyptic.

Peter Cat’s back catalog incorporates a wide range of influences, from angular indie rock, analog synth-pop, and torch-song balladeering; all undergirded by a wry and sardonic bass-baritone croon; like Berlin-era Bowie crossed with Frank Zappa.

Peter Cat’s debut LP, The Saccharine Underground, was released in 2020 through MoFi Records and distributed through Scottish indie heavyweight Last Night From Glasgow. This was followed by the well-received EP The Magus in 2022, which spawned fan favourite single, ‘Melon Dating Simulator!!’, a surreal track about cross-species dating in an imagined future dystopia. Peter Cat’s forthcoming second full-length, Starchamber, will be released through Cambridge-based Trapped Animal Records in late 2025.

Celebrating the vinyl release of their acoustic album: “NAKED”.

An intimate evening with French superstars, Franck Carducci & Mary Reynaud who will be playing naked versions of their classic songs using only a piano and an acoustic guitar.
A few surprising covers will be added to the repertoire.

She, the sweet country-folk priestess debauched by Rock ‘n’ Roll, he, the flamboyant rocker who soothes himself to the sound of a 12-string guitar… Franck Carducci and Mary Reynaud, it’s an encounter like few others in a lifetime. When these two start playing, when their voices harmonize and their guitars vibrate together, every heart around beat in unison. We approach and sit next to them, lulled by their stories and invaded by their obvious osmosis.

*SOLD OUT*
Rogér Fakhr & Charif Megarbane
(Habibi Funk)
at The Mash House

May 9th, 2025

Both hailing from Beirut, Rogér and Charif represent two generations of artists pushing Lebanese music culture forwards, with Rogér starting his career in the late 70’s, and Charif taking the helm in more recent years.

Rogér has developed an incredibly strong cult following, with his lost tapes recorded in 1970s Beirut (and later Paris when he was forced to flee the civil war) finally being released to the public by Habibi Funk in 2021 on the LP ‘Fine Anyway’, followed with a second album release ‘East of Any Place’ in 2023.

Charif is a polymath of the truest sorts – producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist who is prolific with his output (80 albums in 10 years!). His full length LP ‘Marzipan’ was released on Habibi Funk 2023 to critical acclaim, including a feature as Bandcamp’s Album of the Day, as well as praise from Time and The Skinny.
