Conquering Animal Sound is Anneke Kampman and James Scott, who live in the lovely City of Glasgow. They started making music together in 2008 and since then have gathered a plethora of interesting and exciting instruments and hardwares, which all together make their sound delightful and unique. They really are an absolute pleasure to listen to, even more so when live, so make sure this is one gig you get to for 2011!
Their debut album, ‘Kammerspiel’, is being released on the 7th February on Gizeh Records and we’re super excited to be hosting them at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on the 12th.

Panda Su is a one-woman band hailing from the golf-loving, university town of St Andrews. On her debut ‘Sticks and Bricks’ EP (produced by Steve Mason ex-Beta Band), she played all the instruments herself, which made it almost impossible to play live, which is why she recruited the strange-hat wearing, non-instrument-playing, non-singing Adam, who can now play percussion and provide backing vocals!
Sometimes they are joined by even more people on stage, such as Jonnie Common, Chris ‘Esperi’ and Steve Mason to name but a few.
Panda Su’s single, Eric Is Dead, was last year featured on an episode of Skins, which was very exciting indeed, so if you haven’t heard her, where the flip have you been hiding? Under a rock!?
Anyhoo, Su’s been in the studio the past wee while working on some new material, which will result in a brand new EP, set for release on Friday 11th February, so we thought we’d throw her a party to celebrate and you’re all invited!

Hold Your Horse Is are a three piece from Frimley & Fleet who take a heavy influence from 90’s American Indie and 00’s British Post-Hardcore. Their unusual name is taken from the title of a seminal album by 2 piece Californian noise merchants Hella; whom they don’t sound anything like.
