Communion: THE PALE SEAS, Blue Gold, Jake Mattison, Astrid & Quinn

June 17th, 2012

Southampton four piece with the ability to craft stunningly beautiful pop songs. Tinged with Americana folk yet jarred with English self-depreciation, if there were to be a hallowed union of Beach House and Galaxy 500, then Pale Seas would surely be that love- child – the bands intimate and nocturnal sound is potent enough to melt even the iciest of hearts.

The infamous disco den of wrongness. Philipp Gorbachev can’t make it due to Visa issues, we blame the Tories. Kris Wababi will add extra Acid to the mix to make up for it. Wasabi-smothered 808 steaks.

BLONDES
late live show

June 14th, 2012

“The thing that Blondes do amazingly well is make dance music that is perpetually euphoric. They aren’t reinventing the wheel here, but like any great musicians, they understand the genre they’re working within. They understand why people like it and what they’re looking for from it, and they tap deep into that idea. With “Wine,” from the final 12-inch in their ambitious trilogy on RVNG, they take that idea further. It’s all constant build, or actually maybe constant release? Either way, it’s about a single moment stretched out hypnotically for the track’s duration.” The Fader

SKYLESS, Jaded Playboy, Pirate Sons

June 9th, 2012

Skyless is a group whose existence owes as much to a strong belief in sticking to your guns as it’s sheer love of the rock music created during the Third Great Awakening. Through thick and thin, through exits and entrances, through a myriad of sea-changes within the musical world – Skyless has remained a constant.

Their sound has been described as rock, rock’n’roll, hard rock and 70’s rock – however, they simply see themselves as a rock band with a wealth of talent, experience and above all else, great taste.

This gig is to celebrate the release of their latest EP, ‘Silence So Loud’, a record so dripping in Southern Fried blues licks you can taste the bourbon

Ticket/Door Price: £5 available from www.bainbridgemusic.co.uk
