AMUSEMENT PARKS ON FIRE, Nightmare Air

September 2nd, 2012

The brainchild of Michael Feerick and veterans of three albums (Amusement Parks On Fire, Out Of The Angeles and Road Eyes), APOF are the absolute masters of furious, beautiful and gigantically loud sonic wizardry. They have variously been described as “sporadic, hedonistic, teenage genius”, “a subconscious, sleeping study in nightmarish beauty”, and “adventures in sound that merely wipe the floor with every seismic pretender who’s ever tried to work out the lyrics to ‘Soon’ and recreate every chord sequence found on ‘Isn’t Anything’”. Amusement Parks have long established a formidable live reputation, performing numerous headline tours of the UK, Europe and the USA. They have provided main support on tours with dEUS, 65daysofstatic, The Psychedelic Furs and the Boxer Rebellion and, after a gap of far too long, are back doing what they do best. Shoegaze alive.

Nightmare Air are a new sonic experience from members of Film School (Beggars Banquet Records) and Chicago shoegazers Airiel.
