When an artist “finds her voice,” it’s meant as a figure of speech and signifies a certain kind of greedy perspective from our end that values neat narrative arcs and easily identifiable resolutions. It’s typically reserved for someone like Laurel Halo, who’s darted and dashed rather than having followed a simple trajectory over the past couple of years, recording a vast and diverse amount of material under her own name and as King Felix for six record labels (and counting).

Syndicate – 99 Hanover Street’s pre-club bash – does such a great job of warming up our revellers that we’ve given them a live guest to show off.
Of all the new acts to have emerged so far in 2012, Py is definitely one of the most interesting, her astounding voice matched only by the calibre of producers, such as Breton, Throwing Snow, George Fitzgerald, Raffertie and Greenwood Sharps that she has been working with.

DYLAN CARLSON of Earth, Wounded Knee

Dylan Carlson is the lead guitarist, lead singer, and only constant member of the Drone doom group Earth. He is creating his first major solo project outside of Earth.
He will combine field recordings from various megalithic and other sites of human/fairy encounters across the UK, also the use of ritual and folkloric magical practices. These recordings will be layered with Dylan’s interpretations of classic Scotch-English ballads about human/fairy encounters from early modern England and Scotland(15th-18th century). It will also feature guest vocalists to sing the songs.
