London based Whales In Cubicles create complex but often minimalist soundscapes that owe more to 90s alternative rock than psychedelia. With strong support from The Fly, Q Magazine, The Independent, Artrocker, Clash and major attention from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6Music, XFM and Amazing Radio they’re building up quite the momentum.

An updated take on 90s grunge and atmospheric post-punk, Kagoule have just turned 18 yet harbor skills far beyond their years and demonstrate a rare instinct to create something new from the familiar palette of the three-piece punk band.

Their current single show Kagoule’s heavier side whilst still containing all the moments of raw emotional contrast and unnerving lyrical poignancy demonstrated in their early demos ‘Monarchy’ & ‘Made Of Concrete’, both written at age 15 and immediately picked up by BBC’s Dean Jackson.

Junebug are an acoustic/rock band from Glasgow, UK who formed in 2011 and since then have been gigging extensively across the country. Drawing influences from the likes of Stereophonics & Blondie, November 2012 saw the release of their debut EP ‘The Chase’ and September 2013 was the release of their single ‘Hoops’. Their co-headline Scottish tour in January is to celebrate the release of their latest single “You & I”, which will be available to download for free from their bandcamp & soundcloud.

Made As Mannequins, a four piece indie set up from Glasgow hit the scene late in January 2013 with their debut single and video, “Am I Alive?”. From then on the band continued to play at increasingly bigger shows across Scotland, culminating in the Wicker Warm-Up gig for the Wickerman Festival. The band took a break in October to write and record their debut EP “Chief”, set for release on the 15th January 2014. The band will then be playing a selection of dates across Scotland to promote and publicise the launch of “Chief”.

Raleigh’s lush composition draws on the finer elements of earthy folk, chamber pop and art-damaged indie rock, with delicate melodies that hold the whole thing together, resulting in a sound that has been described as “a more thoughtful, elegant indie”, and “dynamic, quirky folk.” Having cut their teeth in diverse acts including Woodpigeon and the Dudes, this trio stems from a lofty lineage. Both boisterous and rock solid, Raleigh will relentlessly capture your affections with their boundless grace.

World Supremacy DMC Champion, New York born Shiftee is one of the world’s all time greatest scratch DJs, technically peerless but also hugely entertaining and likeable. He’s an ambassador for Native Instruments as his technical wizardry has taken the state of the art to an entirely new level.

For the past 2 years we have been bringing underground acts to our hometown. With parties in London giving us more room with licensing and size, we have always sought out the most intimate spaces to really build a connection between the people of Edinburgh and our guests.

Always finding the most exciting acts to compliment our fantastic residents is what we do best. This party highlights that precisely – musically educated in Leeds we grew up with our 2nd Birthday guest playing at house parties and night clubs all over the city.

One of our favourite DJs of the last 5 years, Junes – Now living in Berlin and running his label Galdoors, is hitting his production path solidly. His first cut on the label, ‘Colours’ has seen wide support and was gratefully remixed by our last guest Leif.

Guiding you through the night with his vast collection of vinyl, Junes will take you on a journey of mindful experience. Within the music his sets are built with great meaning and connection to the audience. Its really just great dance music – come celebrate 2 years with us and Junes!
