FUZZ ORCHESTRA, Fatalists

May 25th, 2015

Starting from radical improvisation, Fuzz Orchestra (Italy) achieved to forge a sound which, today, is built on strong rock textures, guitar and drums based, on which a fluxus of outer sounds (samples from political movies, old vinyls, noise streams and real time audio manipulations) ties and rages.

Their debut album Fuzz Orchestra – somewhere between noise and kraut rock – was released in 2007, evocating glorious (the Resistance against fascism) and infamous (’60 and ’70 state terrorism) moments of contemporary italian history. In 2009, with the second album Comunicato n.2, the music gets more brutal and heavy, while the band gives voice back to those who have tried to revolt against the inhuman capitalist world order. From 2007 to these days, Fuzz Orchestra has been playing over 200 live shows in Italy, Europe and the USA.

LuckyMe: CID RIM, The Blessings

May 22nd, 2015

LuckyMe are very proud to bring CID RIM back to Edinburgh.

Having released two excellent and expansive EPs with LuckyMe- including 2013s Mute City. Clemens Bacher is back with another new EP “Charge” on his very own Affine Records.
Forging his own sophisticated electronic music that defies contemporary classification. Simply, he doesn’t fit. And there’s some good reason: hailing from Vienna where Bacher is a recognised young free jazz drummer, tutor and multi-instrumentalist – he was always cultivating the sound of ‘Cid Rim’ bringing a patina of otherworldy musicianship to his progressive electronic hip hop. The chords employed across his music are thick, distorted and complex. His background in jazz informs an approach that is perhaps true of all of the LuckyMe artists- there is no rule book here and it’s definitely more fun without one. Currently in high demand as a producer – working recently with Theophilus London, Kanye West and OkmalumKoolkat – his official remixes have been sought out by the likes of Sky Ferreira, Chvrches and Jessie Ware.

Support from LuckyMe label boss The Blessings.
