In September 2014 we welcomed Chicago Don, Roy Davis Jr., to the capital for the inaugural Hectors at Sneaky Pete’s. Saturday 2nd September is therefore the 3rd anniversary of our bimonthly residency at one of the finest small clubs in the land.

To celebrate we’ve invited back a guest who played one of our favourite sets in the 18 parties we’ve ran at the venue. We’re going to keep the identity of said guest a secret until you arrive on the night, but ??? is, however, returning under his exciting new alias. One described as “an indie-pop act you can actually dance to”, London 5 piece Tigercats have made an art out of making music that makes people dance.

The band incorporates members of Hexicon, Esiotrot and Allo Darlin’. Having already released two albums on Fika Recordings and Fortuna POP!, the band have drawn comparisons to the classic indie pop songwriting of Orange Juice, The Violent Femmes and The Buzzcocks.

They’ve recently completed work on new material that further develops their sound, incorporating rhythms and influences from farther afield – but always with an ear for a catchy melody and an eye on the dancefloor.
