Sterling Press
Verse Metrics
for fans of… Blur, Suede, The Dare, Fontaines D.C.

November 8th, 2025

Sterling Press are a four-piece rock band from West London, merging gritty rock riffs with the infectious thud of dance-punk. The band – childhood neighbours & long time best friends Marlon, Ed, Greg, and Lucien – spent their formative years playing every dive London had to offer, bonding over shared obsessions with The Beatles & Blur. After living in Liverpool for a couple of years the boys became DJ’s at the iconic Jacaranda Club, hosting weekly indie disco parties and using the money they earned to buy synthesizers, providing the songwriting foundations for their new sound.

Katalysis:
LWS
ROXAN
Katelate

November 5th, 2025

Across dubstep and its after-ripples, Brazilian street party funk, Chicago juke trax, techno from around the world, and way beyond, DJs and producers have painted psychedelic soundscapes, birthed unearthly creatures, created impossible devices, and moved unknowable ways since Kraftwerk & YMO said ‘go’. Katalysis accelerates the reaction of creativity with passion, our need to move our bodies coming into dialogue with our search for meaning and beauty.

For the last time in 2025, the walls of Sneaky Pete’s will shake and rattle with the frequencies of Katalysis. Joined by Headset veteran and heavyweight slinger LWS and UoE’s Electronic Music Society president and cowgate queen Roxan, Katelate will be bringing you a night of dark, powerful, ethereal UK bass soundscapes and workouts to touch your soul and invigorate your body. Remember, remember the date, because this one will go off with a mighty boom!

Led, as it always is, by the marginalised, this vanguard of the edge of the envelope draws from experiences of exclusion, otherness, alterity, subterfuge, counterculture, introspection, migration, racialisation, disabling, and queerness. This night is brought to you and hosted by Katelate, filling an hour each night with the bedrock of the katalytic sound.

queer dancefloors • transcendent rhythms • curious minds • resolute spirits

We don’t accept bigotry; threatening, predatory, or abusive behaviour towards staff or other guests; disrespect to the venue; or overly-intoxicated and disorderly guests. A ticket does not guarantee entry in violation of these basic standards.

RARE Club:
Loods

November 4th, 2025

Raised in the Steel City, aka the coastal, industrial Australian town of Newcastle, Loods is an understated character with a fun, raw take on dance music.

Since relocating to London in 2018, Loods has delivered a string of high-impact releases across a range of labels including Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs label, Classic Music Company, Patrick Topping’s Trick Label, Club Sweat, and a collaborative project with dance music icon A-Trak.

All of this set against the backdrop of extensive touring throughout the UK, Europe and Australia, mixes for Rinse FM, NTS and Triple J, and numerous remixes for artists like Pete Tong, Purple Disco Machine, Flight Facilities, and plenty more.

With no sign of slowing down, Loods has a full arsenal of releases on the way, and will certainly be one to watch.

Matt Wilde
Eloi
for fans of… J Dilla, Pete Rock, Robert Glasper, Joe-Armon Jones

November 4th, 2025

Matt Wilde is a Manchester-based artist, producer and pianist whose music lives at the intersection of electronic beat making and jazz improvisation.

Shaped as much by J Dilla, MF DOOM and early UK garage as by jazz harmony and crate-digging discoveries like Bill Evans, Wilde’s sound embraces the rawness of live improvisation while remaining beat-forward and heavily textured – built around drum machines, his vintage Rhodes piano, looped melodic fragments and a fearless sense of rhythm.

He joins us this November following standout performances at major UK jazz festivals and at institutions like Camden’s Jazz Cafe.
