Crème Fresh: The Last Dance with Ring Ma & DJ Cheers
December 28th, 2018
It’s here, the grand finale, our pièce de résistance, the last dance.
Since 2014 we’ve been working on Crème Fresh. First we had the radio show which we loved doing and soon after we moved to the physical format and started doing club nights. Over the 50 something radio shows and about a dozen parties we’ve got to collaborate and party with some of the best local and international artists in the game while having the time of our lives. Like all good things though, Crème Fresh must end.
We’ve both moved on from Edinburgh and with many of our core friends gone also it seems like the best time to write the final chapter.
For the party Duncan (Ring Ma) will be joined by DJ Cheers of Teesh, Liam will sadly only be able to be there in spirit. We’ve also been kindly allowed to throw our last shindig in Edinburgh’s number one dance spot Sneaky Pete’s where we had so many of our formative clubbing experiences (many of which came as a result of DJ Cheers’ own parties).
So please, come join us to send Crème Fresh off as we came in, smiling and listening to good tunes.
£5 all night and on till 5 am

KOUK + Billy Got Waves + fidagul ft. oyakhire
December 28th, 2018
Joshua “Kouk” Koukpaki is a 21 year old Scottish rapper raised in Leith. Mixing a blend of classic HipHop/Rap with elements of R&B, soul, grime and afro beats, KOUK creates one seamless experimental genre. Kouk creates a contemporary sound which is compounded by an energetic and highly entertaining live performance.
After launching himself into the Scottish live scene with his debut show in Dundee’s Door Below in support of Scholsey on the 14th April, he has been successful in gaining support on social media and music sites. Coming off his first hometown headline show. KOUK has also recently been shortlisted in Scottie Media’s “RepYourCity” competition along side top names in the Scottish hip hop scene such as Loki, McRoy and Sherlock. KOUK will headline Edinburgh’s Sneaky Petes to much anticipation.
Billy Got Waves
Edinburgh born Billy Got Waves is changing the norm of Scottish HipHop with his debut solo project Kill Billy which released on 12/10/18. As a member of the 131 Northside collective he has already supported the likes of A$AP Nast, Gaika and Shingai Shoniwa from the Noisettes to name a few. His first solo release however is a completely new direction from his past releases with 131, now with a more commercial take on his craft still keeping to his core elements of melody and sound design he has gathered some of the top hiphop artists from Scotland all onto one project, the result is an endless barrage of catchy melodies and unforgettable hooks alongside flamboyant yet truthful lyrics which will make you completely rethink the sound of Scottish music forever.
fidagul ft. oyakhire
Hailing from a small town called Livingston, fidagul only started producing last year but has already received a lot of success through uploading his beat-tapes online. His first release, a beat tape called ‘twenty’, found him create a following for himself on soundcloud. His lo-fi track ‘Italy’ did especially well, hitting 10,000 listens rapidly and making its way onto popular lo-fi mixes on youtube. Although a new generation of trap music takes the reigns, J Dilla’s warm drums and Kanye’s soulful samples still have a special place in Fida’s heart. The beat-makers style incorporates elements of old school hip-hop while also taking influence from a number of different genres. This can be heard from the way he manipulates his samples and chooses his instruments. His instrumental style ranges from lo-fi to classic boom bap while his distinct Scottish accent catches every pocket with thought provoking lyrics. Creating fresh music every chance he gets, fidagul just hopes that he can make someone feel the way he felt when he first listened to his favourite songs!
