Red Rum Club are a sextet from Liverpool, combing sounds of old and new channelling ‘Tarantino-esque’ wild western vibes with the help of a solitary trumpet. Liverpool influenced they deliver a modern twist of poetic yet catchy lyrics and melodies that blend to make the sound that is unmistakably, Red Rum Club.

Erol Alkan – All Night Long // To The Rhythm
May 24th, 2019
24th May – Erol Alkan All Night Long at Summerhall
We’re throwing a big party at Summerhall to welcome back producer, DJ, label founder and old pal Erol Alkan.
This is the third time Erol has played all night long in Edinburgh, after last year’s sell-out party at The Caves (and the one before that at Sneaky Petes), this is another chance to present his unifying and unpredictable vision of club culture from open to close.
On a winding musical journey that has seen Alkan thrive as a producer, chameleonic remixer and radio host, from the era of seminal club ‘Trash’ to the present day, his spiritual home has been in the DJ booth…

Retiree [Rhythm Section International] live show
May 23rd, 2019
Retiree are three Australians responsible for some strongly rhythmic and emotional music. We connected with them through Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section International label (who run some of the best DJ parties anywhere).
“a whole lot of criss-crossing rhythm” – The FADER
“swirling synth flourishes, languid wistful vocals and strut- ting drum machine funk” – The 405.
Retiree are not a straight up dance band though. Their new album explores the theme of “house or home” and what that means in present day Australia for different people. They journey from an aboriginal tent embassy on the south coast of New South Wales, a retirement village, a one room flat in Ringwood and a sleepless 17 hour stop over in Malaysia.
Their live set throws all their keyboards, guitar pedals and woodblocks on stage, resulting in a fascinating arrangement of sounds that carry the lyrical content superbly.
