Orpheus presents: Pelican Tusk + Lemongrass + Yellow Helen

Be sure not to miss this big date in the Edinburgh independent music calendar, as we return to Sneaky’s with an exciting new lineup, featuring up-and-coming Glasgow group Pelican Tusk, Edinburgh garage-pop outfit Lemongrass, and soulful indie Orpheus Collective mainstays Yellow Helen.

Pelican Tusk are a Glasgow-based band specialising in dreamy psychedelic pop. Their ethereal synth leads are supported by smooth bass-driven rhythm, resulting in some beautiful, spacey tunes. This show will be their first gig to date in Edinburgh, and it’s one you won’t want to miss.
Lemongrass are Edinburgh’s premium garage-pop group, with a rich, crunchy sound that echoes acts like Yo La Tengo and Velvet Underground. Their clean vocal melodies overlap with bouncy lo-fi guitar riffs to give them a warm and sunny vibe; perfect tunes to fill your late-summer ears with.
Yellow Helen return to Sneaky Pete’s to offer up a range of tasty ballads of the indie-pop variety, with notable influence from artists like the Talking Heads and David Bowie. Their definitively soulful sound fills the night with sweet, dancey bops every time, and the diversity of their tunes means there’s never a dull moment in one of their sets. Make sure to get down early to catch them opening this event.

Four unwholesome hours at the mercy of Lionoil’s chief workhorse for the first time in 5 years: it’s not an offer you say no to.
Seasoned doyen, Percy Main encapsulates the spirit of the Cowgate sweatbox. Famed for piloting partygoers into areas of welcome uncertainty, inspiring luminating dancefloor friendships and generally acting as a harbinger of recreational good times.
In the last year he’s warmed up for Hunee & Helena Hauff, b2b’d with Bradley Zero, opened a sandwich shop and soon will play an Edinburgh Fringe Boiler Room with Peach.
Come to dance, smile, sweat and natter. This one’s going to leave you smeared up the wall.
