Sneaky Pete's

The Cucumber Lodge is a lovingly chaotic series of irregular social gatherings that gravitate towards the edges of our cultural zeitgeists in their current and former states. To celebrate the Scalarama film festival, the Lodge will be hosting and presenting a rare screening of Isaac Julien’s 1991 film ‘Young Soul Rebels’ at the iconic Sneaky Pete’s club. A Soul boy DJ falls in love with a punk amid racial tensions, a whodunnit murder mystery and the Queen’s Silver jubilee in 1977 London. With one of the greatest soundtracks put to film, Julien throws up a vivid picture of class, race and love growing up in London.

DJ Küsse is one half of spice boys duo Hi & Saberhägen. Championed by the likes of Ben UFO, Midland, Roman Flügel, and Joy Orbison, he has since established the Sensible Seelen label and party in Berlin. Come and join DJ Cheers as they battle it out back to back all night!

Two of our favourite artists return to Sneaks!

Stanley Brinks is probably best known for his part in the band Herman Düne, which received great support from John Peel. Since leaving the band in 2008, he has embarked on a solo career and for this gig he will have The Wave Pictures as his backing band – a match made in heaven.

They have sold us out on numerous occasions and this one is about to do the same – act fast!

Big shout out to all the party ravers that made it down to our last event with Danielle, and of course to herself for slamming it out.

Next up we’re slugging along the M8 to lay down in in our favourite East coast haunt. After the success, intense heat and ultimate vibe of our last residents party we’ve decided to do it all ourselves again. Catch Lenny, Doggo and DCLN throwing down b2b all night long. With massively varied musical tastes and top mixing abilities this one could go anywhere. Expect techno, electro, U.K. bass, minimal, breaks, grime and throw your hands in the air house.

A double header of two post-punk acts doing it in very different ways.

Pozi are from South London and create a visceral, stripped-back and driven sound; while local boy and Young Fathers affiliate Callum Easter is noisy and folky with a live show that is much more than the sum of its parts.

Tickets are running low for this, and it’s not hard to see why! Get in while you still can. 

wojtek the bear:
A five piece from Glasgow who describe themselves as a smart, casual indie pop band. wojtek the bear deliver a sound immersed in clear concise vocal qualities, strong harmonies, captivating melodies accompanied with magical and mesmerising strings.

Errant Boy:
Heartfelt indie pop purists this Edinburgh three piece come at you with an intensely stylish, experimental sound comprising of unique vocal qualities, quirky guitar sounds and elegant beats.

Jake Roberts:
Solo artist Jake Roberts is singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Edinburgh.
