Liz Lawrence is a British artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. In the years since her first outing as a solo artist in 2012, Liz has spent time as one half of pop duo Cash + David and singing and touring with her friends Bombay Bicycle Club, which took her on a two-year-long tour around the world.

After teaching herself how to produce, she realised that she had become good enough to make her own music in the way she wanted to make it, on her own terms. She released the first fruits of this experimental labour throughout 2018, as a series of double A-side single releases: Chainsmoking, Circling Numbers, and The Good Part. These gave her the space she needed to rediscover her own identity, and who she was as an artist.

She returned in 2019 with her album Pity Party, an unvarnished yet defiant snapshot of her world right now. Judging by the calibre of songs littering the album, 2020 looks set to be an exciting year in the career of this determined and talented British artist.

Ok, we’re back in business! Your fave community station returns to your fave sweatbox for a proper party. And to celebrate our grand return, we’ve decided to just throw the kitchen sink at this one.

In the red corner is Highly Important, a power-duo forged in the fires of EHFM comprising of Xivro and Feena; in the blue corner are the mad fifers Haptic, a crew with seemingly infinite members and energy, and who joined the radio roster over lockdown.

We’ve decided to pit the two crews against each other in a high-stakes, high-tempo showdown. Expect heaps of UK Bass, Dubstep, Footwork, UKG, Grime, and Very Silly Tunes. Basslines 4 daze!

Having formed in 2018, waverley. are fresh faces to Scotland’s burgeoning indie rock scene. With a string of gigs across Scotland under their belt, waverley. have emerged from these gigs with a sound that blends “colourful guitar led melodies with contemplative lyricism”.

Lockdown and graduation from University has gifted the band newfound time and focus. The result is two new songs, recorded by Idlewild’s Rod Jones, that successfully highlight their tone and ambition.

Fresh off the release of their riotously energetic EP Watch Out!, Miss World are excited to welcome India Jordan to the Sneaky’s sweatbox. After our original plans to bring them to Edinburgh were scuppered by the pandemic, India’s only gone from strength to strength, with their 2020 release For You – a moving and joyous expression of identity and self-love – featuring in almost all ‘Best of 2020’ lists and scooping up stellar reviews across the board. 2020 also saw India named ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ by DJ Mag.

Needless to say, we’re thrilled that India will be joining us for our musical beauty pageant in Sneaky’s. Get on your most comfortable shoes and get ready for a dancefloor workout – everyone’s a winner at Miss World.

– Accessibility – there is one step up at the front door, which a ramp can be provided for, and the rest of the venue is level throughout. There are unfortunately no accessible toilets inside the venue, but The Three Sisters (50 yards down the road) have accessible toilets and are happy to accommodate Sneaky Pete’s patrons. Echo Machine are peddlers of thunderous glam-pop. Dealers in three minute window-rattling, knee-trembling hooked filled mania that will make you want to punch the sky and remove your clothes.

Imagine the songs of Pulp played by Death From Above 1979 on the instruments of Daft Punk and you’ll have an idea of the bands intentions. Formed in early 2018, Echo Machine began life with a couple of singles and a few tentative steps into the live music scene around Scotland before retiring to the studio to hone their craft.

Edinburgh Disco Lovers invite you to the Italo Space Odyssey – their first intergalactic outing, fuelled and soundtracked by the power of Italo, future disco, new wave and more! Expect powerful ballads, punchy synths and a hell of a good time from the Disco Lover residents as they’ll be once again raising donations for Hope Not Hate.
