High Fade are Scotland’s freshest offering in the new era of Funk and Disco , quickly rising to forefront of the UK & Scottish Funk scene after reaching more than 10 million views on their unstoppable track “Sharpen Up” due for release on the 9th of December.

After being featured on “Jazz Nights” with Seonaid Aitken , BBC ONE and BBC RADIO 6 with their first release “Scorpion” , the demand has risen for High Fade’s incomparable sound. Poised to take over in 2023 with a monster line up of releases set. “Sharpen Up” is just the tip of the iceberg and strong beginnings from the relentless funk ensemble known as High Fade.

Glenn Hughes – (Deep Purple , Dead Daisies , Black Sabbath) – “The Scottish music Scene is often overlooked and there truly is some absolute diamonds over there , excited to see how far High Fade can take this”

Heal Yourself and Move

December 17th, 2022

The clans reunite for one last night in 2022. It’s been some years since the four beards (well, three & a bit) took turns on the turntables at Edinburgh’s most beloved deep dance immersion zone, but here at last we’ve managed to persuade them all to put aside their gigantic egos and share with you, dear groovers, the great riches of their combined 100 years of disc jockey experience.

Both Lord Of The Isles and Linkwood have hit us in the past month with new long players – ‘Night Of The Endless Beyond’ on ESP Institute and ‘Stereo’ on Athens Of The North, respectively – while Other Lands dropped his second solo album ‘Archipelagos’ – also on AOTN – back in September. So this will act as something of a launch party perhaps for all three of those chaps – come help us celebrate that why don’t you?

Meanwhile House Of Traps – the main brain in the game whose late lamented Firecracker Recordings label brought the aforementioned artists together in the first place – has recently gone beyond the sphere of music toward the realms of horticulture. He’s still lost none of his touch for rooting around amongst the rhizomes & shoots of sonic curiosities, with fresh fruits from his Tending The Void imprint delighting adventurous listeners everywhere.

As usual you can expect all manner of moods & tempos from atmospheric to euphoric across several hours. You know what to do.

MARGINS:
Emerald

December 15th, 2022

MARGINS is back for its 3rd and final instalment for the year – we’re super psyched to welcome Emerald to Sneaks alongside 2 stellar sets from local duos, Lucky Dip and Digging the Underground.

Rinse FM legend and DJ, Emerald is not one to be missed! Whilst her taste is rooted in UK bass driven music, she curates experimental sets, with handpicked selections from up-and-coming talent, making for a unique and vibrant sound. From performing at London clubs to festivals all over the world, everything Emerald does is infused with her unique blend of left field club music and passion for club and radio culture. We’re so excited to see what she has in store for us at MARGINS!

Warming up we’ve got Cowgate icons Lucky Dip. The Overground residents have a firm foothold in being some of Edinburgh’s most successful party starters and have supported big names like Nia Archives, Juba and Giuilia Tess. Expect wide ranging bassy selections to warm up the MARGINS booth.

Last but not least, come down early to catch MARGINS residents and EHFM hosts Lola & Raphaela. Expect all things bass, breaks, grime to warm you up for the big night ahead!

MARGINS is a club night created by, and for, people from marginalised communities within Edinburgh. This is a space where people can get together, dance, and feel safe and accepted – no matter their race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religion.

At MARGINS, what matters is that you treat others with respect, love and kindness; to allow us all to rave and misbehave in a community of acceptance.

Heaters // Hypnotikk x Superstar Fishbar

December 14th, 2022

Hypnotikk join forces with Superstar Fishbar for a December shindig to remember. 2 DJs, 1000s of dirty heaters, at least 15 subgenres of garage, and 1 b2b which will blow both your socks off.

Clean Diva has been all over the Edi scene since she arrived in it. Her typical set includes such techniques as good tunes, and dancing. Her selections seamlessly flit all over UK bass, garage and techno sounds and seem pretty much tailor made for the Sneaky’s floor. She’s also just released a beautiful new single – give it a listen, fall in love, buy your ticket.

Joining Clean Diva is Hypnotikk’s own Still Waveley, whose love for UK sounds runs just as deep. After a month away from the Pete’s he’s back with a cornucopia of new tunes and questionable transitions. Expect electro amapiano speedy downtempo floaty roller house tunes only.

It’s gonna be a night of perhaps the most consistently stellar DJing you have ever seen. It’s gonna be loud, it’s gonna be lavish, it’s gonna be absolutely lush. It’s Clean Diva x Still Waveley for as long as their poor backs will let them.
