Chell and the Vetos headline Sneaky Pete’s on Sunday 9 April 2023 as part of the latest Hit The Road tour. The band consists of Chelle Logan, Cynric Acosta (guitar), Aidan Kavanagh (bass) and Clare Douglas (drums). 
The quartet are an eclectic emo-rock band from the capital, who create music packed with catchy hooks and hardcore breakdowns. They’ve sold out Sneaky’s previously and it was a cracker.

We first came across Tano thanks to RP wider family member Bake, who put us on to his “Down 2 Earth” mix, since then we’ve been hanging off his every move!

Tano is a DJ and music producer based in Brooklyn, New York and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He grew up just outside of New York City, immersed in the hardcore scene during his youth. Catching the dance music bug in the early 2000s he’s been embedded in NYC nightlife ever since with gigs at hallowed spots such as Bossa Nova Civic Club, Good Room, Paragon and Panther Room. More recently he’s been making strides in music production and starting his own imprint, “Armatura”; a home to showcase of his hypnotic, sharply percussive and bass driven productions. Since its creation the Armatura catalogue has been finding itself in the record bags of heavy hitters like Ben UFO, re:ni and featured in Kelly Lee Owens exquisite Radio 1 Essential Mix.

With more releases on Armatura slated for later in the year and some exciting plans afoot that we aren’t at liberty to discuss 😉 2023 is shaping up to be a belter for the gaudy footwear fetishist and wine enthusiast – wonder if that enthusiasm will stretch to our beloved Buckfast tonic wine, only one way to find out…!

He’ll be going toe2toe with Lewis all night on Saturday April 8th in the cosy confines of Sneaky Pete’s as a kick off for his UK/EU spring tour.

I haven’t made an album since 2010. I decided to stop pursuing music several years after my sixth record, Outlaster, because of unhappiness, overwhelming chaos, mental illness, and my tragically dysfunctional relationship with Kennan. Creating music had always been a positive outlet during difficult times, but eventually it became a source of absolute misery.

Kennan, a cat, and I lived in a studio apartment in NYC for 25 years, finding ways to survive while making records and going on tours. Our apartment was the place where people would come stay, eat, drink, play music, and use our tub. We loved each other. We were each other’s family, but there was ongoing abuse, control and manipulation. We hid. We were lost.

On January 26, 2020, I made the decision to separate and live apart, and on January 27, Kennan died by suicide. I can only feel sadness and guilt about it. Maybe I’ll have other reactions to it later on.

Riderless Horse documents the grief, but it also marks moments of empowerment and a real happiness in discovering my own capability. Steve Albini produced this record with me. The three of us are old friends, and we did a field recording in a guesthouse built like a lighthouse that two very dear friends of mine have in Esopus, NY. It was exactly the right environment to work on this record. We all had meals together, cried, laughed, and told stories. It was perfect. It made me realise how much I love writing, playing and recording music

The Team Woiby resident is known for her stunning vocals – singing live over her DJ sets as well as working with some of the most well regarded producers in UK dance music right now. This has sparked her spectacular rise over the last year, earning her a Rinse FM residency and an appearance on HÖR.

With thumping garage releases in collaboration with the likes of DJ Crisps, Ollie Rant and Daffy, and euphoric breaksy numbers with Angel D’lite, you can expect a night of the very best in the new wave of UK dance music.

Coming hot off the heals of our sell out show with Papo2oo4 + Subjxct 5, this month Volens Chorus are bringing back a fan favourite and good friend, Bluetoof, who last came out to play with us in December 2021.

Since then Bluetoof has been tearing it up all over Europe and over the airwaves holding down his Rinse FM residency as well as teaming up with fellow famed selector Jossy Mitsu forming a supergroup to rival the likes of Cream and McBusted, BLUMITSU.

Developing and honing his sound has also been on the London based DJ and producers mind as well as starting his own label, INFA RED. Last time Bluetoof graced the Sneakies booth the energy was amazing and we know with the Volens Chorus fan base ever Growing we expect more energy, more sweat and more erratic dancing.

An extraordinary renaissance musician with a CV unlike anyone else, Irishman David Kitt has been a member of Tindersticks and frequent touring guest of David Gray. As an electronic producer he’s released on Permanent Vacation and Hivern Discs and performed at Berghain’s legendary Panoramabar.

Welcoming an excellent local selector to the club this month in the form of haptic pal & all round musical menace, Jemstone! Always exuberant and joyful behind the booth, you may have caught her informed (and cheeky!) selections in any number of haunts around the city.

With an anything goes attitude to genre and a boundless library of jems we anticipate some big auld shapes being thrown this April 5th!

Leaving the mundanity of the 21st century behind and turning to real-life events of the past, Hallan bring attention to the stories of historical individuals within their new EP.
